I'm here. Zimmer is awesome. He's my second favourite composer. Danny Elfman is my first. And they're both Batman composers too.

Damn. I already bought the special edition soundtrack. Now I have to buy this? I wish they would have given a heads up about it earlier. Stupid marketing schemes!

I totally agree with you Dew.... The Little Mermaid soundtrack is so much cheaper than the Dark Knight special edition. Maybe you guys can split the cost?? Just a thought. :)

But are they actually calling it Special Edition. B/c I already have that. Unless this is a SPECIAL Special Edition. Freaking stupid marketing execs. Like when they release a "Special Edition DVD" and that's, in fact, the *only* version you can buy. Whatev. I'll be buying this either way. Just wish they could get their facts straight.

The Dark Knight soundtrack is Oscarageous it blended very well with The Dark Knight feature film. This, is how crazy, Batman has made Gotham. You, want order in Gotham Batman must take off his mask and turn himself in. Oh!!! and Everyday he doesn't people wlll die starting tonight i'm a man of my worddddd. Mhahahahahahahahahahah!!!!

Sounds interesting. If it's different enough I'll pick it up (assuming it gets a UK release date) as I love TDK and it had a great score.
But I gotta say, why call Mermaid's soundtrack? It's got Oscar winning score and songs and that film essentially did for Disney Animation what Batman Begins did for the Batman movie franchise. The score/songs still hold up today as one of Disney's best. The film might not be dark or "adult", but it's a great family movie that has stood the test of time.

They are milking the raw, bloody teet of Batman to death.
Theres an image.

Hey Jokey, the heroic part is in the movie at the end when Batman fight the cops and try to rescue the hostages in the abandoned building.

I hate when they do this. Just like when they release a DVD and come up with a deluxe special edition a few months later.
I'll give an example: I purchased the Ultimate Matrix Collection Blu-ray boxset from Amazon. I got it in the mail yesterday and when I opened it it had an insert advertising upcoming Warner Bros. Blu-ray releases, one of which is a 10 year anniversary special edition of The Matrix. What is up with that?

The only other track I want in my collection is the whole end credits with the bit of A Dark Knight when Batman is taking the blame for the 5 deaths.

Nice. I REALLY enjoyed some of the music, it'll be interesting to see what this has to offer.

I wish it has the themes that go along the movie... i want the entire score from the end of the movie... starting from where batman gives his speech till gordon says dark knight... ... i mean its all in bits and pieces in the soundtrack, wud really like to have a complete one...
