maggotmx , I'll clarify. I'm a DC fanboy as well....but in all honestly, marvel isn't that bad....in fact it's pretty good at times. You know what?! Marvel and DC are both good, its just that Marvel is kind of like DC's little sister. Marvel is very fortunate to have a big brother like DC that it could look up to, to take inspiration from.

let me know when it hits 1 billion :)

Posted by: El Bart-O on September 7, 2008 at 23:37:55

So what's gonna be tomorrow's top headline?
"The Dark Knight makes $949.5million" perhaps?

Posted by: BEN HUR on September 7, 2008 at 23:38:36

Almost to a billion...hope it gets there...

Posted by: FanBoiii on September 7, 2008 at 23:44:07

wrong, maggotmx.

DC/WB has put out more successful comic book movies than Marvel.

Posted by: ray on September 8, 2008 at 00:14:04

we should all go see it 2 more times

Posted by: walt on September 8, 2008 at 00:17:55

Seen it 7th times. Go for it!!!

Posted by: Matt P on September 8, 2008 at 00:18:56

how can some idiot say that DC/WB brought in more money than Marvel?? Marvel studios already has Iron Man and The incredible Hulk. Listen, i love DC and Batman but i hate when people try to make one better than the other. Why can't Marvel and DC both be sweet. I like heroes from both. And right now, the direction Marvel studios is taking with putting the heroes together for Avengers is awesome! TDK was a milestone but all the marvel heroes together is gonna be pretty sweet both. I don't hate on anyone. I just love superhero movies. Maybe that's what a real fan does...

Posted by: loverofallcomix on September 8, 2008 at 00:20:41

dc is like the inferior cousin to marvel. marvel has quantity ie lots of good superheroes. dc has quality ie a couple amazing superheroes ie batman

Posted by: brad on September 8, 2008 at 00:21:16

Make more! Make more! Make more! I love this movie!

Posted by: loverofallcomix on September 8, 2008 at 00:22:19

right on matt p

Posted by: loverofallcomix on September 8, 2008 at 00:23:31

TDK is my fave movie of all time

Posted by: joe on September 8, 2008 at 00:32:36

All of you guys could go watch the movie 20 more times, and despite it still being a good movie, and desptite however good/bad Titanic was, you have to face the simple fact of exponential curves. Batman: The Dark Knight is not going to beat Titanic. Period. Ever. I liked the movie, but come on.
And really I don't see the point of posting all these box office figures until it passes 1 billion, if it does.

Posted by: abe on September 8, 2008 at 00:41:00

the average movie-goer wouldn't know or care about the difference between marvel and dc. so that means it's all good for comic book fans! :)

Posted by: pushyawigback on September 8, 2008 at 00:45:50

damn theres alot of haters on this movie....lol

Posted by: shroud on September 8, 2008 at 00:53:49

i wonder how long titanic was in theaters. or if they can re-open tdk. mabey before a thirs movie. it pull in close to 100 mill witht he hype of a third.

i wonder how much of episode iv is from reopenings.
