According to The Hollywood Reporter, former "Doctor Who" star Catherine Tate is set to join a slew of other genre actors in an upcoming British superhero comedy titled Superbob.
Brett Goldstein will star in the film as "Bob," and he's joined by "Game of Thrones" and "Harry Potter" star Natalia Tena and Laura Haddock of The Inbetweeners Movie. Directed by Jon Drever from a script by Goldstein and Will Bridges, the film is currently shooting in London.
Based on a short film of the same name, the movie will detail the life of a London mailman who gains super powers after a radioactive meteor crashes nearby. Though he has these fantastic abilities, it doesn't help Bob get over his shy personality or help him out with the ladies. A film crew arrives to shoot a piece on Bob on his day off while he tries to balance saving the world and going on his first date in six years.
