Patrick Dempsey Joins Transformers 3

"Grey's Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey is joining the cast of Michael Bay's Transformers 3, which starts filming this month.

Dempsey will play the boss of Fox's character. Dempsey told reporters in Brazil this week that it's a "dark character."

Scheduled for a July 1, 2011 release, the third film stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich and Ken Jeong.
