Stan ‘The Man’ Lee snags the National Medal of Arts

Stan “The Man” Lee snags the National Medal of Arts for his pioneering achievements, artistic excellence and creating legendary and timeless heroes such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, X-Men and the Fantastic Four. The award was presented to Stan yesterday in Washington DC, making him one of only nine to receive this magnanimous award presented by President George W. Bush.

Outside of receiving awards and being one of the most prolific individuals in comics, Stan has been heading up his new company POW! Entertainment (PK:POWN). He will be releasing “Time Jumper,” a new digital comic book, distributed by Disney’s home entertainment group. With major film adaptations of his famous characters being released as blockbuster after blockbuster, Lee is still as hot as ever.
