Rogue Adapting Kirby’s Lost Squad

Rogue Pictures has bought the feature rights to Chris Kirby’s comic book series, Lost Squad, and set it up with producers Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter.

Lost Squad chronicles the adventures of a ragtag unit of Allied soldiers who fight Hitler’s occult agents and other supernatural threats during WWII.

Devil’s Due Publishing began the series — illustrated by Alan Robinson — last fall and has published five issues. Devil’s Due publisher Josh Blaylock is co-producing Lost Squad.

The project is the second Askarieh and Alter have in development at Rogue. Earlier this year, the duo set up Hack/Slash, based on a Devil’s Due comic about a woman who hunts down slashers; writer-director Todd Lincoln is attached.

The producers also are developing a feature at Fox based on the video game Hitman, with Vin Diesel attached to star.
