Warner Bros. Pictures will bring DC Comics’ Deadman to the big screen, reports Variety. The film is being produced by Guillermo del Toro along with Angryfilms’ Don Murphy and his producing partner Susan Montford.
The character is a ghost who, when alive, was a circus acrobat named Boston Brand. He was murdered during a trapeze performance by an unknown assailant but his spirit was granted the power to possess the living in order to search for his murderer as well as help the innocent.
The trade adds that the producers are working on giving Deadman a contemporary take and are zeroing in on a screenwriter to adapt for the screen.
