Doctor Who series 10 marks third and final series starring Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor. It has also introduced Pearl Mackie as Bill Potts, the Doctor’s latest companion. Matt Lucas also returns as Nardole, having previously debuted in the Christmas special “The Husbands of River Song” and having returned the following year for the most recent holiday episode, “The Return of Doctor Mysterio.”

Written by Sarah Dollard and directed by Bill Anderson, “Thin Ice” is offically described as follows:

London, 1814. The entire city has turned out for the biggest Frost Fair in decades! But beneath the frozen Thames, revelers are disappearing, snatched through the ice. Pulled into the depths where a terrifying monster lurks. Will the Doctor and Bill stop the slaughter before they too are dragged into the icy waters?

Doctor Who, which began broadcasting on BBC America in 2005, follows the Doctor, an alien from a race called the Time Lords whose home planet is Gallifrey, and is created by Sydney Newman (The Avengers), and Executive Produced by Russell T. Davies (Torchwood), Julie Gardner (Torchwood), Steven Moffat (Sherlock), Phil Collinson (Coronation Street), Piers Wenger (How I Live Now), Beth Willis (Doctor Who Confidential), Brian Minchin (Wizards vs. Aliens), Caroline Skinner (Our Girl), and Mal Young (Desperate Scousewives).
