New videos tease Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Pandora – The World of Avatar attraction
We’re about to be seeing a whole lot more from Disney’s Animal Kingdom‘s Avatar attraction. Disney Parks announced that on Thursday, March 9, ABC will offer looks inside the much-anticipated Pandora – The World of Avatar. Until then, we’ve got two new videos about Pandora that you can check out in the players below. The Avatar attraction will open to the public on May 27.
Pandora – The World of Avatar will transport guests to a visually-stunning world complete with floating mountains and bioluminescent plants. Here, guests will be able to experience two excursions that will truly push adventure to the next level. First, the family-friendly Na’vi River Journey will send guests down a sacred river hidden within a bioluminescent rainforest. Their journey will end in an unforgettable encounter with a Na’vi Shaman, a figure who has a deep connection to the life force of Pandora. And second, the Avatar Flight of Passage excursion will offer the jaw-dropping experience of riding on a Banshee over the world of Pandora.
Tomorrow’s Good Morning America will tour the Avatar attraction and offer a first look at Flight of Passage. Then, The View‘s Whoopi Goldberg will join director James Cameron for a look at the Na’vi River Journey. The daytime previews then conclude as The Chew examines Lumpia, a unique and delicious snack found only on Pandora. Tomorrow evening, though, Nightline will offer it’s own inside look.
As far as Avatar 2 goes, we’re still awaiting an official release date. As of the last update, the first Avatar sequel is planned for a December 2018 release with the second to follow in December 2020, and the third and fourth in 2022 and 2023. Avatar 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau through their Lightstorm Entertainment.
