First Kingsman: The Golden Circle poster teases an unexpected return
Following the reveal of the official title last week, Kingsman star Taron Egerton has taken to Twitter to reveal the first Kingsman: The Golden Circle poster, which teases the return of Colin Firth’s Harry Hart! Director Matthew Vaughn previously teased that they’d figure out a way for “Galahad” to return last year.
“A lot of people are very upset that Colin might not be in the sequel but I’m coming up with ideas at the moment. If people buy tickets in America, I’ve got a feeling we’ll figure out a way for having Colin back.”
You can check out the teaser poster in the gallery below along with the previously-released concept art for the film, including the US Kingman’s (The Statesman) headquarters and the base of the film’s villain (played by Julianne Moore), Poppyland.
Matthew Vaughn returns to write and direct the film, which sees Egerton back as Eggsy but moving to the United States where he’ll meet his match in a “swaggering, sharpshooting cowboy.”
20th Century Fox has set a June 16, 2017 release date for Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Casting updates on the sequel so far have suggested that we will see Halle Berry join the franchise as the head of the CIA, with Julianne Moore in talks to play the film’s central villain. Edward Holcroft is also set to appear in the film, though whether he will reprise as his character from the first remains to be seen.
