Traveling Event The Marvel Experience Abruptly Canceled

The interactive Marvel Experience canceled halfway through US tour

Though it’s already made its way to several cities in the US, Deadline reports that the traveling interactive theme park The Marvel Experience has been canceled. The event will finish its remaining days in Phildelphia before closing up shop. No official reason was given for the cancellation, but fans who purchased tickets for its arrival in Chicago, New York and St. Louis will be given refunds.

The Marvel Experience covered over two acres and encompassed seven colossal Domes, a life-size Avengers Quinjet, the world’s only 360-degree, 3-D stereoscopic full-Dome attraction and a state-of-the-art 4-D motion ride.

As agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in training, guests of The Marvel Experience were given the opportunity to swing with Spider-Man, smash with Hulk, fly with Iron Man and more, all in preparation for an epic battle alongside Marvel’s biggest Super Heroes in a fight against Red Skull, M.O.D.O.K. and an army of evil Adaptoids. The Marvel Experience incorporated next-generation interactive technology including augmented reality, multi-person gaming and RFID progress tracking so fans could see themselves in action.
