Marvel Comics Reveals New Secret Wars Titles Including an All-Female Avengers!

The journey to Marvel’s Secret Wars continues and the publisher has announced a number of new tie-ins for the event. First up is the just-announced A-Force, an all-female Avengers team consisting of She-Hulk, Dazzler, Medusa, Nico Minoru, a new character named Singularity, and many more. Written by G. Willow Wilson and Marguerite K. Bennett, the series will feature artwork by Jorge Molina.

Next up is Deadpool, despite biting the dust in April, who will be taking part in Secret Wars albeit not the one that is about to be published. Writer Cullen Bunn and artist Matteo Lolli will debut Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars, showing the merc with a mouth’s involvement in the original Secret Wars, which took place a decade before his creation.

Secret Wars Journal was also announced as an anthology title set within the all-new Battleworld. The series will feature stories including the likes of the X-Men to Night Nurse and Misty Knight to Millie the Model (a character that pre-dates Spider-Man/Iron Man/Fantastic Four by two decades!).

Spider-Man 2099 creative team Peter David and Will Sliney will transition from that title to Secret Wars 2099, a title encompassing the entire “future” of the Marvel U and focusing primarily on The Avengers of 2099, though the X-Men of 2099 and the Hulk of 2099 will also appear.

Finally, Elektra scribe Haden Blackman will transition from that world to Master of Kung Fu, a “Battleworld” tie-in featuring an all-new version of Shang-Chi and the martial arts school of K’un-Lun.

Secret Wars is set to kick-off this May from writer Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic. It will see the main “616” Marvel Universe combine with the Ultimate Universe to create an all-new continuity moving forward.
