Amy Adams Has One Scene With Ben Affleck in Batman v Superman

Having wrapped filming in December, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a lengthy year+ post-production period in order to not only finalize effects, but figure out editorially how to cram in a grab bag of heavy hitters including Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Lex Luthor, Cyborg… and let’s not forget Lois Lane! The intrepid reporter will be reprised by Amy Adams, who told Press Association that amid the chaos of the story, Lois will only share one scene with Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman.

“He is going to be his own unique thing. He’s got a wonderful quality and a great body of work,” Adams said. “I was only in one scene with him, I think I’m allowed to say that. So I didn’t get to see much, but what I saw was fantastic.”

Technically this isn’t Adams’ first run-in with the Caped Crusader, having screen-tested opposite her future American Hustle/The Fighter co-star Christian Bale in 2004 for Batman Begins. That said, she seems particularly excited to see a whole new Batman begin.

“We’re not allowed to speak about it, but I just want to tell everybody everything,” says Adams. “I’ve spoken about working briefly with Gal as Wonder Woman and Ben as Batman and had a wholly positive experience. And teaming up with Zack, Henry and Laurence Fishburne again is so much fun. I like playing Lois, it’s a real privilege for me. I never really expected it. I can’t wait to see it. Just the part I’ve seen looks really exciting.”

Starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Jena Malone, Holly Hunter and Scoot McNairy, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
