Check Out the IMAX Posters for Game of Thrones Screenings

Earlier this week, it was revealed that, due to high fan demand, IMAX would be delaying their screenings of “Game of Thrones” in the premium format. Now IMAX has announced that the first 300 IMAX ticket holders for the Thursday night opening show time (January 29 at 10 p.m.) at participating IMAX theatres will receive a commemorative “Game of Thrones” poster from well-known illustrator Robert Ball. The first poster, “The Watchers on The Wall,” will be distributed at all AMC screenings with the second poster, “The Children,” to be distributed at all other locations. You can check them both out below, but be aware that one of them contains a major spoiler.

Over 200 IMAX theatres will be screening the final two episodes of season four of the popular series followed by the anticipated worldwide debut of an exclusively created sneak-peek trailer for IMAX of season five. Tickets will officially go on sale on IMAX.com/GameofThrones starting today, Friday, January 16. To date, confirmed cities include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Montreal, New York, San Antonio, Seattle, Toronto and Washington, D.C., to name a few. A full list of venues is available on the website and fans can check local listings in the coming days for more available IMAX locations.

Marking the first television series to be shown in IMAX theaters, the “Game of Thrones” screening event will also include the worldwide debut of an exclusively created sneak-peek trailer for season five, which will debut on HBO April 12 at 9 p.m.
