Sony Pictures' upcoming adaptation of the hit video game franchise Metal Gear Solid appears to have found a director! Deadline reports that Jordan Vogt-Roberts, who made his big screen debut with last year's The Kings of Summer, is in talks to helm.
The Konami video game series follows Solid Snake, a retired soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons disposal facility to neutralize the terrorist threat from Foxhound, a renegade special forces unit. He attempts to liberate their two hostages, the head of DARPA and the president of a major arms manufacturer, and stops the terrorists from launching a nuclear strike.
Spider-Man producer Avi Arad is attached to produce with Michael De Luca overseeing for the studio.
