According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW has added Patrick Sabongui to the cast of "The Flash" pilot that is currently in production. He will play the role of Central City Police Captain David Singh, a character created by Geoff Johns and Francis Manapul in the third volume of The Flash back in 2010. His role is said to be a guest appearance for the pilot but should the show be picked up to series, there's an opportunity he could be added as a recurring character.
"The Flash" stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen aka The Flash who gained his powers after a freak accident, as seen in an episode of "Arrow" a few months ago. The remainder of the cast includes Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Iris's father, Detective West, Michelle Harrison as Barry's mother Nora Allen, Rick Gosnett as Central City Police Detective Eddie Thawne, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, Danielle Panabaker as S.T.A.R. Labs bioengineer Caitlin Snow, Tom Cavanagh as S.T.A.R. Labs CEO Harrison Wells, and John Wesley Shipp, from the original "The Flash" TV series, in an unspecified role.
"The Flash" arrives from co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg who, along with Geoff Johns, will write the pilot episode with "Arrow" pilot director David Nutter at the helm. Production on the pilot is set to begin next week.
