Mark Millar’s very popular creater-owned series Kick-Ass will be coming to an end this year with the final chapter, Kick-Ass 3. A promo appeared in the last issue of the Hit-Girl mini-series (via Bleeding Cool) teasing the ‘grand finale’ of the series and that the first issue will debut this May.
Little is known about the series but Millar has teased a few details like saying the series will start with ‘Hit-Girl in an insane asylum’ and ‘Kick-Ass doing push-up.’ He also is calling it ‘The Return of the Jedi’ and ‘Most uplifting’ of the series; however, he also has mentioned recently that Kick-Ass may not make it out alive.
‘If someone doesn’t have a bullet proof vest like Superman and doesn’t have Batman’s millions then eventually he is going turn around the wrong corner and get his head kicked in or get shot in the face,” he said in an interview with SFX. “So Kick-Ass needs to reflect that. There has to be something dramatic at the end, he cannot do this for the rest of his life.”
Will you be picking up the final entry when it’s released?
