Movie Ads Planned for Super Bowl XLVII

Paramount Pictures is preparing to show a new 30-second spot for World War Z (June 21 release), starring Brad Pitt, during the pre-game and a 30-second spot for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness (May 17) during the second quarter of the game (that spot will also be used to launch a new app, see details here).

Universal Pictures will release the first footage from Fast & Furious 6 (May 24) in a 30-second spot during the game.

Disney, meanwhile, is planning a new ad for Sam Raimi’s Oz The Great and Powerful (March 8), a 90-second spot for The Lone Ranger (July 3), and a new 60-second spot for Iron Man 3 (May 3).

Studios which have not bought ads for the actual game often debut ads during the pre-game, so stay tuned for possibly more surprises.
