Christopher Mintz-Plasse Talks Kick-Ass 2

Kick-Ass 2 is gearing up to start shooting sometime next month and no one is more surprised about it then Christopher Mintz-Plasse. In an interview with Collider, he talked about his doubts for the sequel ever happening and, now that it is happening, a few details about the plot and his character.

“Trust me I am in the same boat as you I had no idea if this was going to happen. It didn’t seem like it especially now that Chloe is like 37?

They wrote an incredible script. I think she’s going into 9th grade in this, which is really smart, they didn’t keep her eleven as she was in the first one. They kind of aged it up a bit.

It’s super violent, and bloody, and funny, and it’s got a great cast. I’m really excited, I fly out to London in a week.”

When asked if they were using real world time in the movies: “Like the time inbetween the first and second? I think so, but I don’t think they did that purposefully.  I think they did it strictly because Chloe is older now so they had to age her up, but it works.”

On if he’s involved in any big action scenes: “Oh yeah, I don’t want to ruin it or anything but it’s kind of like Warriors meets Kick-Ass is the theme for this.”

Adapting the Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr. comic, the sequel will be directed by Never Back Down helmer Jeff Wadlow and will feature a script by Matthew Vaughn.

The sequel will feature Mintz-Plasse, Aaron Johnson,  Angie D’Amico, and Chloe Moretz reprising their roles along with new parts for John Leguizamo and Donald Faison.
