The Brian Michael Bendis series originally announced over five years ago is finally coming to fruition. “Daredevil: End of Days” tells what is in a way the ‘last Daredevil story’.
“This takes place in the not-too-distant future and we get to see what the Marvel Universe may look like,” said Bendis, “In the vein of Daredevil, it’s a more realistic future. In the very first issue, some very large things happen, including Daredevil’s very public murder, which sends Ben Urich on his final assignment, once again telling the story of Matt Murdock.”
The series will be written by Bendis and David Mack with art by Klaus Janson and Bill Sienkiewicz with Alex Maleev providing covers and interiors.
“We wanted to get a lot of people associated with Daredevil through the years together on one book and use it as the culmination of our passion for this character,” said Janson ‘We see almost every character who has been associated with Daredevil through the years as well.”
Some of the characters teased that Johnson mentioned are Bullseye, The Punisher, Kingpin, and a soccer mom Elektra.
No exact release date or how many issues the series will run but it is set to begin this October.
