What is the Mark of the Spider-Man?

By now, you’ve most likely seen the midnight reveal of the brand-new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man (If not, check it out by clicking here). What you may not have seen, however, was the message hidden in the metallic webs at the end that read “Mark of the Spider-Man.”

Collider managed to spot the clue and uncovered the viral website MarkoftheSpider-man.com which, at the moment, seems to consist solely of six static screens marked in the HTML as “cities.” We’re not sure what it means or if there are more clues out there to uncover, but you can click on the below image to check it out.

The film, meanwhile, is set for release on July 3rd and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, with Martin Sheen and Sally Field. Directed by Marc Webb,  The Amazing Spider-Man arrives with a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt, based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
