Though its home video release officially remains unannounced by Paramount, Captain America: The First Avenger showed up for preorder on Amazon earlier this week with a release date of October 25th. Blu-ray.com managed a sneak peek at the alleged bonus features which, today, have been supported and updated by a post at Bleeding Cool.
In addition to the DVD version, two HD titles will be released. Like the studio's upcoming Thor set, Captain America will be issued in a Limited Edition combo pack that includes the Blu-ray, the DVD, a Digital Copy and the 3D version. The standard combo pack is identical, minus the 3D disc. The preliminary list of special features includes (per Blu-ray.com) the following:
Audio Commentary with director Joe Johnston, cinematographer Shelly Johnson and editor Jeffrey Ford
Bleeding Cool, today, located a list of special features that have since been submitted to the BBFC for approval on the Region B release. As you can see from the below list, the content is likely identical, though fans now have a better idea of what to expect in both the deleted scene specifics and in exact running times.
