ComingSoon.net reports that the return of "Chuck" to NBC means that "Heroes" will have to give up its timeslot on Mondays:

NBC's action-comedy series "Chuck" returns to the NBC lineup on Sunday, January 10 with all-new missions and two action-packed, back-to-back original episodes in its season premiere (9-11 p.m. ET) before the series -- starring Zachary Levi in the title role -- moves to its regular day and time (Mondays 8-9 p.m. ET) beginning January 11.

In other programming news, a special two-hour episode of "Heroes" will be broadcast on Monday, January 4 (8-10 p.m. ET) and then the series moves to its new time slot of Mondays (9-10 p.m. ET) starting January 11.

This is new news? This is exactly how it was last year! Why make such a fuss?

I'm glad Chuck is back though!

With the way Heroes has been bouncing all over the place, I'm glad to see it get bounced somewhere else. Hopefully it'll get bounced to a time slot that makes the writers actually ponder the need for a coherent and plausible storyline, though having said that it isn't the train wreck that was Season 3 of Heroes.

I love me some Chuck.

Screw Chuck...I wanna see Sarah!

@ cgoodno
I guess you mind is too delicate to follow muliple storylines. You would probably have the writers just follow one person. Let's say Sylar and then after a few episodes you would be the same person when SHH has any news on Heroes and you would bash them by saying they don't have enough of the other Heroes. You are dumb sir!

Finally!!!!! I've been waiting for them to announce whether Chuck was coming back early or not now that they've added more episodes.

Chuck is awesome!!!!!!!

calm down Chuck fans. Chuck is being cancelled after this season. buddy of mine at NBC already told me; ratings aren't the greatest.

as bad as Heroes is, it will outlast Chuck.

Wow @ The Tick. U sound like the dumb one, jumping on anyone who has even the smallest amount of criticism for your favorte show, which actually DID totally blow its past 2 seasons.

Too bad fanatics don't understand the concept of REALITY...sigh

are they getting rid of Mercy or Leno?

Posted by: mase28 on November 20, 2009 at 08:35:51

love Leno but they need to get rid of it...it is stealing a great time slot for great (well maybe Great shows.) Its the Hour where they can have their more mature drama or action series...and instead there Leno trying to hold on to his Glory....NBC should have just left him o the Today Show...rating have crashed since Conan took over

Posted by: mase28 on November 20, 2009 at 08:39:00

BTW love chuck, and was upset when I saw that the series was to begin its run in March. Im glad they woke up. And to the guy who said that his friend told him they were canceling Chuck, what ever, I bet you $100 it will make it to another season

What's new here?

Chuck was at 8 pm last year and Heroes at 9.

Their both in the same time slot as a year ago.

Posted by: cgoodno on November 20, 2009 at 10:38:13

@TheTick

Yes, your logic is very sound. I mean, it's not like following multiple storylines at once has been the whole concept from the get-go and obviously my #1 reason for disliking the writing of Season 3 and parts of Season 4. I mean, that whole episode of Hiro bouncing around like an idiot in time, making the worst and most inane decisions just to give Samuel a character from the first season - who only makes another appearance due to her popularity in another TV show at this time - with which to manipulate Hiro, even though there's tons of other people Hiro would sacrifice himself for isn't at all horrible writing and a huge change in the story so far.

If you're not even going to attempt to comprehend what someone is saying in a post, then don't reply.

Srsly? Chuck is CRAP and will be gone after this season. Good riddance!

Posted by: renoray on November 20, 2009 at 11:42:33

The Leno Network with a backup plan?

Posted by: AtomicFireBallsTasteLikeCinnamon on November 20, 2009 at 13:33:49

This is great news! Life-changing, in fact! Now I can go back to watching Heroes and House on the same night. Oh happy day! I've had to watch Heroes online all season - opting for House, since Fox waits eight days after airing to post full episodes on their website. I mean, I could always go to iTunes or something and buy episodes of House, if I wanted to, but I'm already paying for cable.

Cool. I like Chuck. I just hope they mature the formula this year.

Chuck is good TV. I have to say I was really into heroes the first year. then it just started going down hill. NBC doesn't have alot of good Dramas and is trying too hard. I'm glad Chuck is coming back for a Third Season and Hopefully a 4th and 5th... I think the show has alot of character on it's on. Plus it's not different.. I can't stand the 5 different CSI's if you include the 2 NCIS shows.. Same thing different name.. And how many retarded hospital dramas? Three Rivers, Greys, pravite practice, Mercy.. I like shows that stand out House is not like the regular Doctor shows.. Chuck, Burn Notice, My new Favorite show is FlashFoward, Numb3rs, WhiteCollar, RoyalPains, Fringe. I hate when networks think they know what they are doing but the waste more money on stupid projects. Jericho was a good show that the fans brought back to life and now it's CHUCK's turn to be saved by the fans.

By the way Heroes will not suffer any Mondays at 9p.m. was it's slot for a long time until this year. So the only thing that will hurt is the scripts.. I love the orginal season... Plus good actors help but I just don't like where they took the series

I thought that I read that Chuck won't be back til march of next year. But as long as it's comign back sooner is cool with me.

Posted by: BoomingEchoes on November 20, 2009 at 19:41:33

Its not mercy that's going to suffer, its that other show Trauma that will. which obviously no one remembers any way, lol.

I doubt this will hurt heroes any more then they're hurting now.. if it was moved to Thursday or Friday then I'd say it would be dead in the water.

Chuck will be hawking Subway in its short return back. Yeah, great show.
