NICE!

Of course people are going to try and make money. They are spending millions of dollars on this film do you think they do it just so you can say "That was a great film."? No because then they could not afford to hire great talents like Robert, Jon, Samuel etc. It just could not happen. Kids love toys, collectors love toys so why would they not make toys based on the film? Stop complaining everyone, why do you guys do that stuff?

There are two silhouettes of armoured toys, one is obviously War Machine. Will the second be Whiplash's armour or and upgrade on tony's armour?
p.s if someone has posted this already then forgive me, i left the page open a while before posting.

@ Man of Tomorrow
I'm so glad someone else is saying this stuff. You fanboys make me sick. Do you remember just ten years ago when we never got comic book movies? Now every character in the Marvel U is up for the big screen treatment, and good or bad its more than what we used to get. Iron Man was awesome, and yet you complain about them trying to make back the massive ammount of money spent by making toys that kids will enjoy! You people make everything so damn hard because nothing is good enough for you. Movies, politics, the world as a whole - everything is lame and you could do it better. Just shut the f@&k up!

Just wanted to agree w/James. I'm a mid 50's grandpa that still loves comics and the super heroe genre. Be happy they are making these movies at all. I had Adam West as Batman as a kid!!! (Love him as the Mayor on Family Guy). Sure some movies are going to suck and some will be great. Take it for what they are and try to enjoy them. Some people on this website take these movies a little too seriously. I too nitpick some of these especially when they change origens or don't develope the characters but you know what. I'd rather have something to nitpick than not have any movie at all. And by the way was that not a great episode of Smallville with the Wonder Twins. That was a nice way of bringing characters that were super lame into a show and make them enjoyably nostalgic-especially the blue monkey phone-Great.

Looks like my action figure shelves are going to be getting more crowded!
...oh and Rocky, I thought that Smallville did a great job in handling the Wonder Twins too!
Posted by: eejo on November 19, 2009 at 11:45:52
I agree with Rocky also... Take Smallville for example - so many complaints about this about that about Hawkman's costume. Just enjoy the sh** for what it is. Its comics come to life!!! Be happy that Smallville is on the air and if you don't like it, don't watch it! Enjoy the damn movie toys while you're at it!

I was wondering why in the trailor why Whiplash had an Ironman Harness, and the toy looks like a lone haired Tony Stark. I liked the last toyline, it was limited because they limited things to Iron Monger (2 types),and the Iron Man configurations. They could have put out a Happy, Rhodey,Pepper, and the Shield Agent, and then do a special collectable Yinsen figure.

Iron Man 2 will be my treat for graduating my Broadcast school in late April. I can't wait to see Iron Man on the big screen again. The wife and I were watching The Family Man before playing on Assasin's Creed II last night. (I didn't play, I was reading Stephen King's "Under the Dome")
Anyway, Don's going to be a great Rhodey!

Mini Iron Man looks like he's made of cheese...that would be AWESOME !

The mini's look like leggo people a bit huh...lol
Posted by: doug_skywalker on November 19, 2009 at 12:52:59
wow.
those look great. and here i was the only one who thought fanboys need to shut up.
as someone who went to an art school as comic major AND took film classes, it's always amazing to read and listen to what some fans of the comics have to say about what they WANT instead of what WORKS. trust me when i say this, not every aspect of teh comic book character can work on screen. it's a fact.
so, i too agree with Man of Tomorrow and everyone else when they say 'SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE RIDE!'
Posted by: BIGW1966 on November 19, 2009 at 13:11:35
I am very hyped for this film.
I also agree 100% with ROCKY
Posted by: Jerry on November 19, 2009 at 13:30:15
Couldn't have said it better ROCKY. I'm not an Iron Man, but the first movie was amazing, it had it all, starting with an excellent cast. Let's see how IM 2 does.

Yeah, they tried giving stuff away once, but found there was no profit in it. And since their children are not solar powered, money is used to help buy them food.

@doug_skywalker:
OOOHHH you went to school!!! ohhhhh!!!! haha just kidding man that actually sounds fun. but i think SOME aspects of character that "dont work on the big screen" probably could but no one gives them a chance. lots of studios think they need to change things just because that's always the way they've done it and never tried anything else. i think if you work slowly and take your material seriously you could change what does and does not work on screen. (IM2 is an exception tho because im pretty statisfied with everything i've heard so i have no qualms, as with alot of these movies) but i think the avengers movie will go along way in changing what people will and will not accept on screen. i dont like how people are saying well a norse god and a scientist can't be together!! why not? it's a movie. it's not believable? well neither is a man in flying armor. they just present it in a serious way where you feel like it's believable.
this movie is going to be sweeeeet!!
Posted by: I ROBOT on November 19, 2009 at 14:16:54
looks like we will get to see war machine this time around!cant wait this is gona be dope!
Posted by: Venom on November 19, 2009 at 14:19:28
If this helps them make money to make more movies then let them make as much as they want!!! Iron Man 2 is going to be sweeeetttt!
Posted by: COLE8.7 on November 19, 2009 at 14:23:11
@ marvel guy
Exactly! Avengers will be great because it takes several film genres and squishes them all into one movie...of course that's my "fanboy" opinion and I should just shut up and take whatever I get...suddenly it's Communist China around here...yeesh!
Posted by: Man of Tommorrow on November 19, 2009 at 14:36:56
No I'm excited that the movies are being put out and people complain because something doesn't happen exactly how they want it to happen. I am all for opinions but it does not seem to be opinions that we hear anymore it is just people complaining about anything and everything. Alot of the stuff they complain about are projects that are not even out yet. Give a reason for why you did not like something don't just say it sucks. Also if you don't like something the way it is go make a fan film and then you can have everything exactly like you want it. That's my plan!
