Entertainment Weekly reports that the two-hour Justice Society-centric "Smallville" TV movie coming to The CW now has a title - Smallville: Absolute Justice.

The event combines two episodes -- "Society" and "Legends." The magazine adds that the pic will air as a seamless two-hour event with only one set of credits.

Smallville: Absolute Justice airs on February 5th.

Now watch how many of you Smallville fans find a way to hate on the title also. I think this is going to be a good movie!

Wow Absolute Justice!!! Is Steven Seagal going to make a cameo. Sounds like a title of a movie he would be in.

You are so right. Cry Cry thats all they do, but yet they wont stop watching on commenting about the show. I guess it gives them something to do. I watch the show even though it can be a lot better, but i dont come on here crying about how crappy it is.

Actually, Steven Seagal movies almost always have three word titles:

Above the Law
Hard to Kill
Out for Justice
On Deadly Ground
Fire Down Below
Eggs Over Easy (jk!)

...and so on...

Cheesy costumes, acting, and the one emotion Tom Welling knows to play aside, I am excited for this episode/movie. I've been a Smallville fan since day one, and have never missed a season. I look at these series as, yet, another medium that brings our Heroes to "life." Whether it be a cartoon, syndication, or an actual movie, I enjoy it. Conversely, this is coming from a guy whom lived through the 90s. Plus, my girl is dressing up like WonderWoman, to add to the excitement.

ABSOLUTE TURD

I think this will be worth seeing. I was loosing faith in this show, but I'll give it one last chance. The "Mayor Zod" plot is boring and senseless. The "blur" thing is even worst!
I do hope this is the last season and for pete's sake end this show with dignity, pride and with Tom Welling (like it or not man) with at least a decent prototype of the suite and cape AND ABOVE ALL: make the guy FLY. Say NO to season 10, there is no reason for it's existence, unless they give deliver SUPERMAN.
If not, don't even bother CW, because I WILL KNEEL before SyFy.

Smallville's had it's hit and it's misses, but I've really enjoyed this season so far. Really excited about this 2 hour movie! Three confirmed JSA members... any news 'bout what other DCU characters making appearances in it?

@ Joe

"Eggs Over Easy" is so my favorite Steven Seagal movie! :D

why?

Posted by: senorashish on November 17, 2009 at 19:09:41

The reason I stopped watching “Smallville” years ago was because it deviated too much from the Superman comic book mythos.

The current season and an other future seasons to follow, seem more oriented towards bringing the entire cavalcade of DC Comics heroes to the small screen. Thus, what started out as a Superman TV series chronicling his youth, has now turned into nothing more than a weekly version of DC’s Showcase comics.

And for this reason alone is why I started watching “Smallville” again. The story of young Clark has run its course and is literally over. Now it’s time to focus on characters like the JSA and Green Arrow.

On a side note, the action, story and effects in any one random episode of “Smallville”’s current season is more epic than the entirety of Bryan Singer’s reticular “Superman Returns.” And that is a fact.

interesting development. Its nice to see it will be aired together in a seamless deal. I was wondering how this was going to be handled. Also interesting title for it. Cant wait to see how it goes.

Thanks @Jerry for giving Smallville one last chance.you must have been suffering soooo much for 9 seasons.I'm Glad your not a WhiiiiiiNer like so many others.Your comments are perfect and logical just like the others who are forced to watch this imperfect show for 9 seeasoons.

Someone above made a really good point. THIS and last season represent a chance for WB to introduce into the general publich MUCH of their plathora of Superheroes that have never received a live action version. Or they have not recieved a live action version in the last 10 to 30 years.

EVEN if the quality of character design and appearance does match the comic exactly. It is indeed a showcase to help excite people about that character and POSSIBLY lead to a thrilling tv show or movie devoted to the character. (maybe not the exact form from smallville)

Posted by: senorashish on November 17, 2009 at 19:33:06

Who would have thought that the next Superman film would be a made-for-TV event on the CW. And to think that this production will suprass "Superman Returns" in terms of quality story and actual comic book relevence. Sad.

The title is kind of cheesy, but all things considered no matter what it was named it would most likely come off as cheesy to most people. I am not a fan of the justice being absolute, as to me it paints things as being black or white and getting rid of any gray areas, which Smallville has had made a point to show that things aren't always black and white. Still, I hope this episode lives up to the hype it is building for itself.

Also, those of you who whine about fan boy's whining are just as bad as they are. At least they have a personal opinion on a subject and are not just being critical of other people's opinions, no matter how flawed/misguided/overcritical those opinions may be. Not that they all are that way. But if you are watching Smallville and posting on this site, you must be a fanboy yourself, so cut the generalized attacks and actually focus on the posts.

Honestly? We need a Green Arrow series once Smallville is up.

I would of liked to have seen that Graysons pilot they shelved.

lol! Absolute Justice?!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Can't wait for this!!!! and looking forward to the head girl @ Brandon Routh. com (Stargazer) to come in here under one of her names like "Hypocrites", "Sammy", "Blue Eyes" and then some to go along with "MostPowerful" here at the Hype and "Solaris" @ the Homepage to bash Smallvile any chance the Brandon Routh stalker can.
Apparently 22 year old Clark on Smallville is too immature and shouldn't make mistakes even before he becomes Superman. He's labeled as a "shallow guy" because he now loves Lois when it was only over a year ago he was in love with Lana, lol. But the latest to defend Routh's stalker scene is Superman's only human, he's allowed to make mistakes, lol
All this when she claims to not watch Smallville? Yeah right. Anyone who says they won't watch Superman unless he's played by Routh is NOT a Superman fan. It's sad when someone is ONLY a Superman fan because they want to get into the actors pants.

If it's "made for T.V., then it's made for people that don't really use their brain for anything useful, and it should be discounted. I find it interesting how many people get so attached to things that are made for stupid people.
