The Trailer for Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths
November 11, 2009
IGN DVD has premiered the trailer for Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths which you can watch using the player below.
Coming to stores in the spring, the movie is an original story from award-winning animation/comics writer Dwayne McDuffie ("Justice League") rooted in DC Comics' popular canon of "Crisis" stories. Bruce Timm is executive producer. Lauren Montgomery and Sam Liu are co-directors.
In Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, a "good" Lex Luthor (Chris Noth) arrives from an alternate universe to recruit the Justice League to help save his Earth from the Crime Syndicate, a gang of villainous characters with virtually identical super powers to the Justice League. What ensues is the ultimate battle of good versus evil in a war that threatens both planets and, through a diabolical plan launched by Owlman (James Woods), puts the balance of all existence in peril.
Mark Harmon voices Superman, William Baldwin is Batman, Gina Torres plays Super Woman and Bruce Davison voices the President.

Not bad...............James Woods as OwlMan is the selling point for me here.

I'm glad that they are starting to use Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern instead of Jon Stewart.

That looks really cool! can't wait to see this one! Gotta get myself Public Enemies first. I still like the classic Bruce Timm look though but this looks fresh!

ya know... i've watched all these straight to dvd dc movies like justice league the new frontier, superman doomsday, green lantern first flight, ect. and they're all really good. so i've got to ask, WHY WONT DC/WARNER HIRE THE WRITERS OF THESE MOVIES TO WRITE THE LIVE ACTION ONES!?!
Posted by: red mask on November 11, 2009 at 03:17:33
Live action adaptions of those stories aren't worth it. They'd be as forgettable as Law-Abiding Citizen or the remake of Pelham 123. Besides, did you check out Ultraman's trimmed eyebrows? Pretty fruity for a guy with a bad reputation. Probably even wears mascara.

Everyone knows you can defeat Owlman by leaving a trail of candy leading to a box being held up by a stick. (Ooh, a piece of candy! Ooh, I piece of candy!)

Interesting choice of voice for Ultraman. Let me guess. That Earth's version of Kal-El landed in Vito Corleone's backyard instead of in Smallville?

@mojojackson
God, I hope it's him under there this time, cuz if it's me again, I'ma be pissed.

DC IS BETTER THAN MARVEL AT *EVERYTHING*!!!! ESPECIALLY AT TELLING EPIC STORIES AND THE CREATION OF ICONIC CHARACTERS THAT WILL STAND THE TEST OF TIME!!!! AND YOU KNOW IT!!!! AND BY THE WAY... TWENTIETH!!!!
Posted by: WTF? on November 11, 2009 at 07:42:09
William Baldwin? What, they couldn't afford Alec?

I love so much de Wb animadet movies, I mean the public enemies movies is so awesome because its like the comic book, maybe they changed things with the story but its play in the comic book world, and i prefer a good animadet movie, with true detalls than a real movie, where we must make the origin story more real and changed this and that AND KILL TWO FACE

@ mojojackson & YES!!! - lol, I totally agree with both of you - unfortunately, most of these people would not get the reference to family guy
@ wormster - that's a wicked diss!!! Good call on bringing goats into the fray - it always makes things that much funnier - kudos to you!
now for my actualy comment in regards to the trailer
- looks decent, concept in theory is quite good - Cannot make anymore judgement beyond that because its not even released yet
To sum up the "rivalry" between DC & Marvel, this is the best I can do: DC & Marvel are "brothers" per-se - DC is kind of Marvel's younger brother that has Tourettes & down-syndrome, which unfortunately causes them to eat glue by the bottle, and eat paint chips by the dozen - So it's like this, they are like
"family", so you gotta love them some the time time for their efforts, but most of they time, they are just plain ****ing retarded!!!
DPK Out

Why is Flash sooooooo slooooow????? (sigh)
Posted by: eejo on November 11, 2009 at 09:13:16
Please tell me that was Deathstroke at the end as the President???

The animated DC movies are much better than the Marvel ones, and I really enjoyed the recent releases like Public Enemies and Green Lantern etc.
This looks good.

That is Hal Jordan, Kyle's costume had more angular look to it and he wore green gloves.
The DC v. Marvel fight will continue until DC has to sell off its top properties to stay open, but unitl then heres my take on the two companies. They are like the twins in the 1988 movie by the same name starring Schwarzenegger and DiVito; one is all super strong and well educated but ha little or no character or street smarts no connection to the common man(or DC); the other a dumppy, fast talking, street wise common man with more personality than one man can stand (or Marvel).

Looks awesome!! But what's up with the slow moving Flash???
