Who is Leaving Heroes This Season?
Source:TV Guide
November 3, 2009

There's been a lot of rumors that a lead character would be leaving "Heroes" this season, and now it's been confirmed who that is. If you don't want to know who, then turn back now!

Still here? Here we go...

TV Guide has confirmed that Adrian Pasdar, who has played Nathan Petrelli since the beginning, has been let go from the NBC show.

At the end of Season 3, Nathan's throat was slit by Sylar, but Pasdar remained in the cast because the supervillain was forced to take on the guise and memories of the elder Petrelli brother. The last time we saw the "new" Nathan, he had been shot by a hit man and unceremoniously buried.

In EVERY single season finale they have killed Nathan off... only to bring him back.

maybe by finally killing his character off it will kill the show too...

Goodbye Heroes. I'm done with you.

Like this is a big surprize.

I was thru with the show at the beginning of Season 3. It never lived up to the first 2.

Put the show out of it's misery already. Bring on Lost!

I think tonight's episode was one of the best in a long time. The show has places to explore still. They got the main writer from season 1 back and he's turning things around.

Why can't they kill off Peter and Claire as well?! Especially Claire.... Am i the only one
who finds her annoying?!

"Especially Claire.... Am i the only one
who finds her annoying?!"

No you aren't the only one. I hate her character, her story line and her acting is terrible. Every time they go to her character it slows done the whole show. Kill her and while you're at it kill a lot more of them. They need to stream line the show it's getting to spread out. Focus more on Peter, Hiro, Sylar and HRG.

I agree. WTF is she even doing on the show anymore. Now when she is on the screen I just fast forward her scenes.

No suprise, but, Dang. I like Pasdar, it's a darn shame they got rid of him for good. I love the show, but they have to stop bringing in more characters if they don't know what to do with the ones they already have.

More to the point... who cares?!?? This show took a nose dive after season 1, terrible, terrible show.

He was a putz any way

I agree, this show was amazing the first season and the second season I agree was cut short because of the writers strike, but the third sucked hardcore and so does this new one. They should have just killed of Sylar AND Nathan in the end of the first season, but because of crap contracts they have them continue on... and on... like the ice queen as well.

It was sad cause I loved this show the first season. I give it one more year and it's done.

Wow, finally a place where everyone doesnt like heroes, everyone i know loves it this show has so much potential but the character they focus on the most is Noah Bennet and he aint a "hero".

I was an hardcore fan of the series after season 1...i tried to find excuses un season 2...and i've never finished season 3...So much potential waisted....

As much as I like Pasdar's character they've needed to trim the cast for a good while now and it really seems no point in keeping Nathan Patrelli around. The show shouldn't be like the Marvel and DCU where death is a mere inconvenience.

It would have been nice if it was Sylar who is finally killed off. I am so tired of him.

Posted by: meso soup on November 3, 2009 at 08:02:03

I was hoping it would be Sylar......

Kill the cheerleader........save the show.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!! How can they kill Superman??

Count me in the "I hate Claire" club. She was good the first season but has been garbage ever since. Too bad about Pasdar, he's always been good, I've loved him since "Profit."

One problem with the show that I've noticed is that the two uber-powerful characters of Peter and Sylar always have to be written out because they are really god-like. They fixed this very well with Peter by making it so that he can only use one power at a time. But think of it; each story arc (after the first when they were figuring things out) they have been either amnesiacs or been stripped of their powers.

The show could be good, and I think that Fugitives and Redemption have been better than the horrid Generations and Villains. But they need to get some solid writing and eliminate some of the crap on the show (CLAIRE!).

claire is eye candy and not going anywhere anytime soon so calm it down. That would only leave ali larter and she's not enough. What I hate is that they could give claire's blood to just about anyone and they'd heal...coulda gave it to nathan again.

I was hoping Hiro would leave. crazy I know, but I am dang tired of this time-traveling BS

Posted by: lionheart on November 3, 2009 at 08:31:51

Nathans' character has been put through the ringer on so many episode to flesh his role out, that frankly it's become stale. Same goes for Claire to. It seems they always try to keep the Petrelli's as a core of the show, but when you have a 15-25 person cast of reoccurring storyline this is what you get.

Posted by: culver on November 3, 2009 at 08:46:22

they should have gone with one main villain per seasona nd Sylar should have disappeared after season 1. Not only do they not flesh out the main cast, they can't even settle on thier powers.... they switch the cast and powers so much its just a big old mess.

I just watched the mini series called the Lost Room (or something) and I loved the idea of powerful objects... crazy idea, but they should merge these two shows...

Heroes with powers versus People with Objects of power.... I know, I know... but it can't be worse than this mess.

So far I really like this season. It's the first season since 1 where I didn't feel like it was a chore to sit through an episode, while constantly looking at my watch thinking...is it over yet? It's got me looking forward to the next episode. The pacing is much better, dialog is back to where it was in season 1 (mostly believable). The bad parts of this season are leftovers from the last 2 and they're getting past that now.
