First Look at Hiro and Charlie on the Next Heroes
Source:NBC
October 27, 2009
NBC sent us this photo of Masi Oka and Jayma Mays as Hiro and Charlie, respectively, in next Monday's episode of "Heroes."
Oka said this about the episode: "This was one of my favorite episodes of the series. I had the opportunity to explore the many layers of Hiro. It was truly wonderful working with Jayma again and I even got to play against a younger me. Ah, how naive we were. It's an episode full of joy and tears. It's Hiro's Company Man and our homage to episode 8 in season 1. This scene is where Hiro finally gets his long awaited kiss. His dream upon the thousand cranes, the origami in his left hand, came true. But is there a happy ending? It's 'Heroes' after all. I hope you enjoy watching the episode as much as I had making it. Thank you!"
The following is how NBC describes the episode, titled "Once Upon a Time in Texas":
HIRO GETS A SECOND CHANCE TO SAVE THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE – JAYMA MAYS RETURNS AS CHARLIE – When Hiro (Masi Oka) travels three years into the past, he has a second chance to save Charlie (guest star Jayma Mays) from the hands of Sylar (Zachary Quinto). However, Samuel's (Robert Knepper) presence serves to complicate Hiro's mission even further. Elsewhere, H.R.G.’s (Jack Coleman) past is revealed. James Kyson Lee, Hayden Panettiere and Sendhil Ramamurthy also star. Elizabeth Rohm, Danielle Savre, Sally Champlin and Dawn Olivieri also guest star.

Good for Hiro. The original episode with Charlie was one of few that really choked me up in Season One.

I'm terribly excited about this, but we all know that it won't turn into a long-term thing. Jayma is right in the middle of a nice love triangle with her regular role on FOX's Glee. Which is too bad, since I find that show to be a bit trite and melodramatic. Ah well, anything that will make an episode of Heroes better is okay by me.

I am really looking forward to this episode. To be honest I am not exactly sure where this show is heading, but I've followed it this far and I'm willing to follow it until the end.

Awesome! This show keeps getting better and better! I wish Hiro and Ando would make costumes and try to be real crimefighters though.

MOnkeyporn you're not the only one who wishes that someone on this show would man up and make a costume and wear it. Im tired of show called Heroes and no one acting like a hero and letting the world know that there is someone out there to help protect them.

Costumes?? This bunch needs to hide in broad daylight, and disappear in a small crowd, not stand out like New Year's Eve!
Next, we'll see Hugh Jackman in a bright yellow leotard and try to take that as seriously as the Power Rangers....
Posted by: Capp_90 on October 27, 2009 at 14:34:57
I'd take Jackman seriously...

I loved Charlie, im glad they brought her back, even if for one episode.

Ok, so NBC is sending photos for every Heroes episode: LAME. Last week it was Claire's kiss and now it's Hiro's. Next week it will be HRG with Angela Petrelli, Tracy with another politician and so forth.
Heroes is just digging its grave and I don't see how the writers will pull this off and save this show from utter destruction. Cancellation is... inevitable. Resistance is futile. Embrace the other side people.
On a side note, what happend to Mohinder?

I love this show. I loved the first season and i'm loving the fourth one. Seeing Robert Knepper after doing Prison Break on it, it's such a refreshment to the show. Brilliant casting. And Hiro's character is so awesome and seeing him with Charlie again it's so great.
I also love Deanna Bray. She is so gorgeous. And doing a deaf hero seeing sounds turning to light reminds me of The Dazzler.
I hope on this show i can have the possibility to see Sylar become a Hero in the end. It has been such a journey to him. It's about time to see him kick ass next to Peter side by side.

@Jerry-ohs
I think Mohinder has given place to Robert Knepper's character. At least he is the one who is doing the introspective monologues now. I not even know if the actor that played Mohinder is still attach to the Heroes show. We'll see.

Sendhil Ramamurthy = Mohinder. Read the bold print and you'll see he is featured in this episode.

Can we actually get an episode that moves the story forward instead of backward?
Please kill off Hiro.
And more Ray PArk please.....

What's to love about this season?
They introduce "Avalon" (a place where mutants can go away from the cruel world) and it takes forever to get anything going. How many times do I have to see Tea-bag shake the earth? When will I see actual fights amongst super powered people? Will they get rid of the lesbian side story that is so pivotal to this craptastic season?
I think its time for me to invest in better TV.

I don't know what to think so far. am soo bored with this seaso. then they had two weeks of good shows then after this week i was bored agian. if i didn't put so much time into this show i would have moved on but i don't know all i say is it better be bulding up to something big or am going to be piss i really like this show and its sad that this season really going no where. am hoping 4 the best and it gets better

They already explained this the first time around. Hiro tried many times to save Charlie. He finally gave up, telling Ando that he could not change it.

The main character focus on this show needs to be slimmed down to Peter, Noah, and Sylar. Noah will be Peter's trainer and guide. Through nathan's memories Sylar will be the anti-hero that Peter ends up teaming up with to keep this whole world safe and in turn Noah will also be guiding Sylar. This way we hav e a group to focus on. Parkman will die bringing the real bad sylar to his grave. Clair and her lesbian voyage can disappear, doesn't have to be explained. just gone. Hiro can gracefully die and give us a sad moment. and NO MORE nikki in any form, please god. The carnival can be the bad guys. Along the ways other people with abilities can be convinced to help Peter, Noah, and Sylar but then will only be in 1 or 2 eps. Okay i am done thanks you for listening.

maskedavenger: "...When will I see actual fights amongst super powered people?..."
C'mon, they're not going to show anything! I say this because of last season's epic battle between Nathan, Peter and Sylar. What did they do? Did they show the fight? NOPE! Instead for the most part they showed Claire standing outside a closed door and show a bunch of lights flashing from underneath the door and alot of loud noise. That was one of the biggest letdowns in the show's history. But they will show small little fights here and there where no one wins and one person runs away to fight, or in 'Heroes' case, hide another day.
But it does seem like Peter IS trying to be a hero now... too bad that most of his heroisms apparently took place inbetween last and this season.
Damned show should be called "Hiders".

This description pretty much seems to give away the fact that the male lead to die seems to be Hiro....
Posted by: spideyman on October 27, 2009 at 17:03:34
i think Masi an Jayma would make a good real life couple.after alll Heroes isn't the only project they did together where their characters where in love with eachother...

I wish Hiro wouuld go back in time and beat the hell out of Tim Kring before he ruined the show for good at the end of Season 1.

I loved Heroes season 1... but after that it got so stupid. They dropped storylines.... they dropped characters... the creators have no clue what they are doing anymore. They don't explain anything and the characters just seem to deteriorate before my eyes. I come back to Heroes occassionally but then I remember why I stopped watching it after 5 minutes into watching these newer suckier episodes. It was a GREAT idea that turned out horribly wrong. Take it off the damn air.

yo man Hiro is my all time favorite character, I hope they find a way around him dying, and I hope he gets it "INN" with Charlie lol. jkjk...no really.
Posted by: Marvelous on October 27, 2009 at 17:42:16
Of course you are not going to understand whats happening when you don't watch it consistantly, Antihero
Posted by: evh100 on October 27, 2009 at 17:52:55
Kinda wish that the show was only about Hiro. maybe a spin-off called HIRO soon? LOL.
my only gripe baout the show is that for a bunch of people with powers, they aren't very heroic. when will someone with powers go out there and fight crime instead of just talking about it. the bad guys all have a plan on this show...the good ones have nothing. most want only to be normal again.
