At first I thought this was a bad idea, but now I wouldn't mind seeing this movie.

Nice

Great poster! The best one they have done so far. Robert looks fantastic as usual. At first I was worried about Jude Law as Watson, but that last trailer convinced me otherwise. He and Robert truly do play well off of each other. Robert and Jude will make a superior Holmes and Watson. I can't wait to see the movie!!!!!

Didn't Sherlock Holmes have a hat of some sort? where's his hat? (if I'm wrong I take it back...if I'm right, then can someone get the boy a hat?)

Posted by: Stan on October 26, 2009 at 15:00:39

of course there is a hat! how could you be unsure about the classic holmes hat? thats the problem i have with this movie its not taking sherlock homles story seriously. its made it into a action comedy with a hint of the super natural and littered with explosions. that is not the real sherlock holmes.

Posted by: Hello? on October 26, 2009 at 15:06:47

I ate his hat. Sorry. :(

All I have to say is that Rachel McAdams is very yummy!!!!

And in the words of UFC Commentator Joe Rogan, before UFC 104 started.... "Stop Be Cheap Bithces....Go Buy It!!!

***Please Note***
The above comment has absolutley nothing to do with this thread/subject/content - I just thought it was quite funny

This is the best Holmes ever done in a Television or Movie series. They are nailing every detail and being true to the original stories by A.C.D. In the "Adventure of the Lion's Mane" he accidentally created the chemical compound that later became the mousse that he applied consistently to his hair in a style similar to the photo above. WOW! Great Job!

Once again I do not understand what a Sherlock Holmes movie has to do with super heroes. Why is this crap looking movie being posted on this website? It looks awful. Terrible casting, and I like Downey and Law, but not in these roles.

I don't like what they are doing with Tony Stark in this film...looks totally out of character to me...and since when is Rhodey a white dude with a top hat...!?

Posted by: Johny b on October 26, 2009 at 16:05:07

this is gonna be a good movie

lol @ COLE8.7!

I THINK ITS COOL THEY ARE DOING A IRON MAN ELSEWORLDS STORY. MAYBE THERE WILL BE A MR. HYDE TYPE HULK HAHA.

Posted by: nopants on October 26, 2009 at 17:05:33

the deer stalker hat, that Holmes is often pictured wearing, doesn't actually appear in any Doyle's stories. In the 60+ Sherlock Holmes stories, he is only ever once described as wearing a hat with ear flaps.
If anything he is described as wearing a top hat more than anything else; but most of the time he's hat-less.

@ja ?what?

This is going to be awesome

Posted by: kraven TH on October 26, 2009 at 17:48:25

this is going to be just another 'pirates' type hollywood dung-heap. it'll be filled with corny one-liners and rubbish that the general audience eats then asks for seconds.

those two look like they're doing a spot for the pride channel.

giant PASS on this tripe.

this poster is ok i suppose. i saw teaser posters months ago, with downey jr. and law each having their own poster, but using the same images as the poster above. movie looks f'n amazing tho. i think it'll do well when it hits.

Looks fantastic! Love Downey Jr. We went and saw AvP:R the Christmas it was out and it totally blew. Lets hope round 2 doesn't disappoint =]

Er.. I don't get it.

Oh wait I see! HOLMES For the Holiday, HOME For the Holiday. Oh man that is so funny. I can't breathe. This movie will be so brilliant it'll make League of Extraordinary Gentlemen look like The Mummy Returns or at best Van Helsing. Oscar nom for sure.
