Fear Agent Creators Want Jon Hamm for Movie
October 26, 2009
This summer it was announced that Universal Pictures is developing a movie based on Dark Horse's "Fear Agent." The comic centers on a colorful, borderline alcoholic astronaut named Heath Huston, a Texan who works as a so-called fear agent, the last of a dwindling breed of spacemen whose mission it is to fight threats to the planet Earth, which is partly destroyed during the course of the series.
Newsarama talked to "Fear Agent" writer Rick Remender and artist Tony Moore about the possible movie. Moore said he and Rick "would love to see Jon Hamm don the spacesuit. After seeing 'Mad Men,' we're convinced he's our guy."
He added: "In the end, it couldn't be made too slick, you know? Abandoning the Atomic Age aesthetic would undermine a big part of what it's about, high adventure with that sense of danger and bravery that goes with WW2 heroes and Apollo 11 astronauts. So the insides of the rocket would still have to feel like a submarine, the weapons would have to look like cool old kids' toys, and the monsters would still have to be built like they walked off a pulp cover. Otherwise, you end up with some kinda soulless overbaked garbage like that 'Lost in Space' movie."

I've never heard of this comic, I didn't follow Dark Horse that much either. Was it anygood? It sounds ok I even went and looked it up before posting. It seems like it would make a pretty good movie.

I also love Jon Hamm, He is perfect for Superman. Truth is Ryan, I don't think he needs to be younger. I want to see an adult Superman, like the way Alex Ross draws him. I am sick of the 20 something superman. I want to see him in his real prime, which for superman is like 40. Drop the origin crap, we all know who he is, and where he's from. Get to the fighting, and drop the supposition.

Jon Hamm would be my ideal Reed Richards in the possible Fantastic Four reboot movie! Andhis Mad Men co-star January Jones would be the perfect Sue Storm!

I love fear agent. Hamm is perfect for it. Not for Superman. I got drunk with Tony at comic con chi town, i wish i knew about this ten to discuss it. Seem like they know just the right tone for the flick.

Hamm's actually younger than you think. If you check out his promo and fashion shoot shots when he's not filming Mad Men, he easily passes for in his twenties. He just ain't a pretty boy- he's got a rugged face, which, nowadays, next to Zac Efron types, seems real period.

Don't do it Hamm! They are going to need you for Captain America!

Jon Hamm is too old to be the "Man of Steel".
Bring back Brandon Routh, put him in the costume like the one the late Christopher Reeve wore, WHICH IS THE CORRECT COSTUME DUHH!! Then find a writer that can write a great script and hire Richard Donner again to direct..... Remember him???

John Hamm would be a sick Lion-o in a live action version of ThunderCats. They should make that movie and make it good. G.I.jOE COULD OF Been cool but they f"ed it up. Transformers looks great but its so damn corny. I have faith in Masters of The Universe hopefully a T.C. movie would be just as epic. Then cross them over.

ThunderCats movie is not coming out 2010 I know this has nothing to do with this page but unfortunately the ThunderCats movie is not going to be live action but all CGI. And yes John Hamm would be a good Lion-o in a live action version of ThunderCats. But I think He is too old Lion-o is supposed to be very young.
