First Look at Zoe Saldana in The Losers

Entertainment Weekly has published this first look at Zoe Saldana (Star Trek, upcoming Avatar) as Aisha on the set of comic book adaptation The Losers.

Aisha is a mysterious Middle-Eastern hellion who joins forces with Clay (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Roque (Idris Elba), Pooch (Columbus Short), Jensen (Chris Evans), and Cougar (Oscar Jaenada) to take down the man responsible for their collective misfortunes, Max (Jason Patric).

The action adventure, based on the Andy Diggle and Jock comic book, is directed by Sylvain White and written by Peter Berg and James Vanderbilt.

Here is Saldana as Aisha, and in case you missed it, it is followed by a photo of the men on the set, a pic that was posted by Idris Elba on his Twitter account last month.

They all look mad as hell and Saldana still looks like a model...maybe after she gets a lil dirty....and no saying what usually is said

Why the hell are they making movies based on comic books that most people never heard of?

Posted by: billy_miracle on October 7, 2009 at 09:21:31

beacuse its easyier for them to take the plot and mold it into what they want to please the masses .

Posted by: senorashish on October 7, 2009 at 17:12:35

@ Archangel0263

Becauase most of these comic books most poeple have not heard of are better written than those comic books that people have heard of.

Losers was a great comic at DC/Vertigo before it got cancelled due to poor sales. DC/Vertigo has a whole line of comics that can be made into fun and very varied films.

Zoe Saldana is a exoctically beautiful woman. She was great in J.J. Abrahams`s fantastic Star Trek prequel/reboot and frankly,Zoe Saldana`s Uhura was a much more sexier Uhura than Nichelle Nicholes ever was.

Even James Cameron said that when he casted
Zoe Saldana in his upcoming Sci-Fi epic,
Avatar,as the human model for the female alien humanoid named Neytiri that belongs to a race of giant blue-skinned aliens with tails named the Na`vi-''that guys have to want to f*** her.''That Neyteri has to look sexy enough for men to imagine to getting it on with her.
It`s rather disconcerting that someone would want to have sexual intercourse with a giant blue-skinned humanoid female alien with a tail and eyes four times the size of regular human eyes. But hey,to each their own.And at any rate,Cameron seems to be attracted to buff muscular warrior women(though they`re usually human).

But I guess that`s how sexy Zoe Saldana is.Even as a giant blue-skinned alien, men still apparently find her irrestible.
But there are women like that. That men fantasize about-not to reduce them to being sex objects but because they`re just that beautiful and a lot of straight men find themselves inexplicably attracted to them.Megan Fox might be one of those kinds of women, but unlike Fox,Zoe Saldana can act.

I`m sure Zoe Saldana will be great in The Losers!I hope the Losers will be a winner!

I don't know if Megan Fox would fit that catagory (oh wait, yes I do. She doesn't), but I'd include the animated, long-tailed Angelina Jolie in Beowulf on that list.

Helena Bonham Carter in Planet Of The Apes on the other hand, was just weird and icky. It's a fine line when you try to extend sex appeal beyond the human species....lol

She shure is prutty.(said w/ a thick southern accent)

Posted by: Dartfin on October 12, 2009 at 21:09:08

@ Archangel0263

Uhm..because it was a great read and would make an awesome film? Really? Did you just ask that?

Posted by: Dartfin on October 12, 2009 at 21:13:36

@ mojojackson

I don't believe Burton DID try to have Helena's character be sexualized. I believe she was just a female ape...then again I only saw his remake once for obvious reasons so maybe I forgot a romantic underpinning in the proceedings but I don't believe I did.
