Mädchen Amick Joins Priest

Mädchen Amick ("My Own Worst Enemy," "Californication," "Twin Peaks") has been cast in the comic book adaptation Priest, directed by Scott Stewart.

She'll join Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Stephen Moyer and Lily Collins in the film, set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampire. It follows a warrior priest (Bettany) who turns against the church to track down a murderous band of vampires who have kidnapped his niece.

Amick will play Shannon, the mother of the kidnapped niece.

Screen Gems is planning an August 13, 2010 release for Priest.

This doesn't sound like anything real special but I'll wait until I see something before I cast my final judgement on it. I do like Paul Bettany though.

Love Mädchen Amick but have never read Priest. She's a great actress and should attach herself to a hero franchise that would actually have enough of a following to succeed at the box office.

I've thought she was an ultra-hottie since her first starring role in Stephen King's Sleepwalkers.
