Warner Bros. Pictures has kicked-off a viral campaign for the Guy Ritchie-directed Sherlock Holmes, starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, Mark Strong, Eddie Marsan and Kelly Reilly.

You can go here to check out the viral site. To access the site, type in "IRENE" (for Rachel McAdams' character Irene Adler) in the boxes and you'll get taken to a video of a hooded man, followed by page where you can sign up your e-mail for further updates.

The mystery action adventure opens in theaters on Christmas Day.

If they can count Batman as a Superhero there should be no problem with Sherlock Holmes.

The movie is partly based on a comic. We're not going to mention that in every news item.

Batman is not a superhero. He is a crime fighter.

The hooded man talks about "To Know, To Dare, To Will, To Be Silent"....these are the basic tennants of witch craft. Could mean something. Also, both Holmes and Batman are superhero's by definition.

Elementary! The man in the hooded mask is none other than the renowned actor, Ewan McGregor, My dear Watson.
