Halle Berry Calls Out to X-Men Fans

We received a lot of mail from fans about this one (sorry folks, we were traveling), but when Halle Berry won for "Favorite Female Action Star" at the People's Choice Awards on Tuesday night, she called out to X-Men fans. Here's a good summary of what she said from XMenFilms.net:

"I had no idea you guys loved Storm so much! Wow, thank you, thank you. And I want to thank Tom Rothman for allowing me to play Storm, and Brett Ratner for allowing Storm to finally use her cape and fly this year." said Halle Berry at yesterday's People's Choice Awards.

"But I have something to ask you guys. You guys really love X-Men? Ok, here's what you have to do. Write letters. Every one of you in this building who love X-Men and want to see X-Men 4, write a letter to Tom Rothman at Fox and tell him so and you will get another one, and I'll be there too."

Hey Apocalypse is a must. And if you are going to Have Juggernaught in the new one, don't have him act like an idiot with a British Accent. And have him fight Colossus. Mr. Sinister needs to be there to help with the Four Horsemen and have Angel become Archangel. They find out Cyclops isn't dead but was saved by his father Corair on the Shi'ar starship. Prof X Finds a new body, but they that means that Pat Stewart wont play him, but can still do the voice, and the Phoenix well, hint the name, she is reborn. Throw Gambit in there two. There should be two story lines in the 4th one, They should split up into 2 teams, Gold and Blue so that the actors both have equal face time in the movie and have a main part. Have 7 mutants to each team. I am thinking, Storm, Shadowcat, Iceman, Colossus, Wolverine, Gambit and Rouge.. That will let Rouge get to know Gambit more, Shadowcat needs to be with her man Colossus and well Iceman needs to just get over both of them. On Gold Team and Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Nightcrawler, Havok, Angel (who gets captured and turned into Archangel) and Banshee. Now doesn't that sound like a pretty good start?!

resurrect Phoenix...and Cyke...and Prof X...and film the X-Men storyline centered around #114 Trapped beneath the heart of a Volcano...Magneto leaves Asteroid M... captures the X-Men, takes them to Antartica to his underground fortress...Cyclops, Phoenix, Colossus, Storm, Banshee, Wolverine, and Nightcrawler....the best X-Men line up ever...hell, let's even dare to have their actual costumes...screw "Realism"...and better yet, hire Claremont to write the thing...and Byrne/Austin as consultants...oh well...it'll never happen....

As much as I would love to see a good X-Men movie again, I don't hold out much hope that if they make a 4th installment it will be any good. Singer I would have to say made it work in the first two movies, but that third one, in my opinion mind you, really was sub-par. I am also one of those few that doesn't like Halle Berry as Storm. Never had that presence that the comic book version had in my eyes.

the fans are begging me for more.. so here you go, PART II of my version of what X-Men 4 should be:
The film cuts back to Rogue, who is now sporting two black eyes, and some minor cuts on her face... who runs into her room and slams the door.. then the movie cuts to Gambit, who sadly has bruised and cut knuckles.. and he goes to Rogues room and says to the door, "Moan Sharee, u tell anybody and i gone' charge a 10 of diamons on yo' A$$ moan-sharee".. then the film cuts to the Four Horsemen, flying over somewhere awesome, like South Carolina, and just creating mayhem, shooting lasers out of their hands, throwing spikes out of their METAL wings, spitting on people, and flipping everyone off, in a really hateful way..... untill THE X-MEN 4 SHOW UP, WOLVERING looks at of the horsemen and says, "HEY BUB.. cut that junk out, for real".. and they flip him off, real hard.. then there is an epic battle, and the x-men are winning, when all of the sudden SINISTER shows up.. and starts kicking everyone in the chin and other places that equally hurt, and the x-men are about to lose now, but ROGUE flys in, and absorbs all of the HORSEMENs power.. and everyone starts cheering her on, and thanking her, and then all of a sudden she is hit in the back of the head with a 10 of diamons card, and it kills her.. and Gambit says something amazing like, "Moan-Sharee, i thought u wanted to play catch".. and then wolverine replys, "HEY BUB"...

yeah, anyway.....Justin, I think you have it right there. As for budget? Umm, have you guys heard of X-men Origins: Wolverine? Yeah, they can do this, no problem. The reason 3 ultimately fell short (even though I enjoyed it) was the fact that they were worried they couldn't do anymore, therefore they had to give it some "finality". However, this is the comic book world, and nothing is EVER EVER EVER OVER! So, with enough fan support, this movie can make it. Instead of everyone always complaining, why don't we take a cue from Miss Berry and let the Exec's know we want another movie. If they see we're bein realistic, and not just a-hole fanboys sending them letters that say "X3 sucked, let me make it, I know I can do better than that carp, Frasier's a f%$!"
They will do it. Because after so many thousand people *****ed out Fox over cancelling Family Guy....they brought it back. Now if we could just get that many people to do the same thing for Firefly.....k, just pickin everyone's brain with my as usual optimism. Later.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not let Halle Berry ruin Storm any more than she already has!! If they do make an X4, get someone who can act, not just pout around about how she didn't have enough screen time! I've seen Ms. Berry in alot of things and she just cannot act. I still don't get how she got an Oscar, she wasn't all that good in "Monster's Ball." Get someone with some screen personality and majesty. For pete sake, Storm was a goddess in Africa, and not just because she could control the weather!

I think they should get new actors but keep the "Phoenix" story arc. Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister have to be the villains, maybe throw in the Hellfire Club and Gambit!! Maybe Angel can use his millionaire status to infiltrate Hellfire to rescue Jean Grey who isn't dead. But as far as blame for the third movie, blame Singer. He should have committed to the third movie and did Superman later. A better financial decision if you ask me.

Alright after reading the previous posts I had to submit my plot idea to fix the current X-Men franchise. The Jean Grey in the third installment was actually Madeline Prior...Jean, Scott, and Professor X have were kidnapped my Madeline and are currently held captive by Mr. sinister and Apocalypse. Professor X took over the body on Muir Island to warn the remaining X-Men and lead them on a confrontation against Sinister, Apocalypse and maybe a few other mutants like Gambit (lets get him out of the way already!). Any how I think that will fix the lackluster third installment and bring back the merry mutants to their former glory! What say you?

Ok! Here's the real scoop on how X4 should go. Start the movie off where it left off with professer X's voice being heard by the students. One of them tells storm and she gets upset cause she is under strong belief that X is dead. Until he calls out to her tellopathicly. He tells her he is ok and will return to the mansion soon, but he also tells her he had a vision that all will come to an end because of a new all-powerful mutant called Apocalypse. Jean aka pheonix is in a couma in recover in the mansion being looked after by Beast, when she hears the voices of X talking to storm while asleep she is showing signs of healing. Elsewhere! Wolverine is back in the jungle somewhere still trying to catch up with his pass and runs into a new and improved sabratooth and has an intense battle only to be stopped by an unexpected guess archangel(four horse men). Sabratooth a wounded wolverine and allows archangel to reveal how he became himself before he tries to kill him. Just before he could give a deadly blow from his metal wings he is called by a strange voice (apocalypse) and he is forced to leave the scene. healing himself quickly wolverine heads back to the mansion to tell the others what he encountered. While back at the mansion storms enterrupts Rouge, Iceman, Colossus and Nightcrawler having an extreme training session in the danger room to give them the news on professor X's exsistance. When they hear a loud explosion towards the recovery room. They run to see what only remains ashes and fire of wher jean aka pheonix was laying. They find beast out cold in a corner, where he awakens to explain what happened. He gives flash backs on what took place right before the explosion. He tells the crew that she was hooked up to a machine that allows you to see what jean was thinking. He shows the machine and the images on it and the last picture was of cyclops half way burried in some type of tunnel by a lake. The boy in part 3 walks in the room and says he has found a new energy signal that is close by using the machine X and magneto built. Somewher around where wolverine was last spotted is a bar where a guy in a trench coat gets beat up willingly until things get a bit hectic when to many people jump in. the brawl is directed outside the bar when suddently wolverine shows up on the scene and says(why dont you pic on somebody your own size!) The stranger says to wolverine I dont need any help. And Wolverine says to him so be it. While wolverine turns around to leave some person throws a nife toward him and before wolverine evn knew what was gong on he heard an explosion behind him, only to turn around to see ashes on the ground and the strangers hand pointed towards the person who threw it. he then reveals his name to wolverine (The names Gambit), as people run back into the bar.

Thats just the start of how I think it should go. What do yall think!!!!!!!!

Halle Berry has proven time and time again that she doesn't do well with superheroes. She should stick to other genres, because this clearly isn't the one right for her.

I would love to see Apocalypse, Sinister and Archangel in an X-Men movie. Problem is that they'll screw Apocalypse up. Judging by some of the casting decisions the industry makes (i.e. Juggernaut, Dr. Doom, and Sabretooth in the new wolverine movie) he'll probably be played by someone crap. There is always some pretentious need by actors and writers to introduce new takes on characters, but that's not what comic fans want to see. To be honest, I would rather see a CG apocalypse who has the correct size and build. They can do it with the hulk so why not. They should show flashbacks during the movie based on the rise of apocalypse and how he manipulates the other characters throughout history. This could be triggered during an incident between the x-men and apocalypse. Maybe they are investigating why Angel has gone missing. Perhaps Apocalypse would "allow" xavier a brief telepathic glimpse just so he could see how much trouble they are all in. Not entirely accurate to the comics but better than just letting the writers make some **** up. Who knows maybe when old Apocalypse is single handedly footing the arse of the x-men and the US army at the end, Cable might turn up to lend a hand.

I would love an X-men 4 movie...everyone needs to reprise their roles and they need to have Rogue finally get her strength and flying powers, plus they need to add Gambit,Dazzler,Longshot and Mojo. hey could send the X-men to another universe to fight Mojo.

Here is the thing: I agree that X3 got pushed through in order to try and finish off the franchise and let everyone see their favorite mutants. Nevermind that Ratner couldn't deliver on Phoenix or Juggernaut and the majority of the movie looked like they were trying to save money by shooting everything out in the woods. Neverind that they passed up opportunities to develop Angel and Colossus and I guess we were just supposed to accept Kitty Pryde as a full fledged member when we had only seen her in 10 second cameos before that.
Halle Berry was NEVER a decent Storm..EVER. Angela Basset could have done that role in her sleep and made us all proud. Berry is a pretty face, but come on - in X1 she did a horrible African accent and she seemed almost scared when you saw her (up until the end, when the best they could do was have her fight Toad). Fast forward to X2 and all of a sudden she is witty and wise and managed to somehow forget her accent. A real actress could have pulled off a convincing accent. Besides, didn't she complain all the time inbetween movies that she was never given enough time on screen?
Storm is an awesome character and maybe X4 would work if they had Apocalypse or Mr. Sinister or maybe even played out the Inferno story line (which would give us a reason to see Jean return or maybe use Femke Jansen as Madelyne Pryor). The thing we don't need is another movie shoved full of underdeveloped characters just for the sake of showing their faces.
