John Woo to Direct & Produce He-Man

Variety reports that Fox 2000 has set John Woo ("Paycheck") to direct and produce He-Man, a live-action film based on the characters in Mattel's "Masters of the Universe" line of action figures. Adam Rifkin will adapt the screenplay.

Originally made into an animated series in 1983, the property was also adapted into a live-action film in 1987 called Masters of the Universe, which starred Dolph Lundgren as the hero and Frank Langella as Skeletor.

He-Man began life as Prince Adam, the hybrid of an Earthling and an Eternian. At the age of 18, he was taken to Castle Grayskull, where Adam received super powers. He-Man has a sidekick in the form of a tiger, Battle Cat, and a deadly enemy, Skeletor.

Woo is also attached to direct The Rock in the video game adaptation "Spy-Hunter" for Universal Pictures.

chapter 1.ralabad the wise meets a woman named lightspinner and he takes her hand in marriage ralabad the wise becomes hordak and lightspinner becomes shadow weaver hordak has his generals grizzlor leetch mantenna and his evil shadow priest and his henchman mosquitor.chapter 2.gherion becomes emperor hiss viper becomes sssqueeze general yulvenia becomes general rattlor and the great khan the first headquarters was the tower of darkness until it was destroyed by the attributarians the new headquarters is the serpentis imperium.chapter 3.king grayskull meets a woman named veena and she takes his hand in marriage and she becomes queen veena until king grayskull gets killed by the snakemen and queen veena has to remarry to another king named king miro and together they have three beautiful children named randor keldor and teelina.chapter 4.the faceless one meets a woman named lyn and he takes her hand in marriage and together they have two beautiful children named marzo and evelyn and they later become count marzo and evillyn.kronis becomes trapjaw and leads the skeleton warriors.chapter 5.catra has her evil horde warriors the swordsman darkhope slushhead evilgodprime mechatroops scorpia betamus hordak and aqutaian octavia.

I have the perfect actor to play skeletor and his evil warriors nicolas cage as skeletor,liv tyler as evil-lyn,tracey morgan as mer-man,bruce willis as trap-jaw,dwayne the rock johnson as tri-klops,joseph gordon levitt as kobra khan and brad garrett as beastman.

Like were you on drugs when you wrote that?

Although an origin story similar to what Stephen Sommers did with G.I. Joe, would be quite cool. But let's hope that they do kind of a AVATAR Pandora-esk rendition of Eternia.

If done right, this could be a great start to a new franchise.
