We’ve received new updates on director Zack Snyder’s Watchmen, opening in conventional theaters and IMAX on March 6.
First up, we’re told that a new viral microsite for the film has gone live at TheNewFrontiersman.net. In the “Watchmen,” Rorschach is obsessed with conspiracy theories, and gets much of his information from a far right-wing magazine called The New Frontiersman. “There is no content on the site right now but the seal will break early next week, and there will be a fair bit of content on the site leading up to the release of the film, including photos, documents and video,” our source said.

Meanwhile, the Watchmen tie-in DVD movie Tales of the Black Freighter has been rated R for violent and grisly images.
Watchmen stars Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Carla Gugino, Jackie Earle Haley, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Patrick Wilson.
