Transformers Vehicles Coming to Detroit

Four of Hollywood’s newest stars, the Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Solstice, Hummer H2 and GMC Top Kick medium duty truck will take center stage at the Detroit International River Days presented by GM in collaboration with the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy and The Parade Company, beginning June 22 through June 27 taking place along Detroit’s new RiverWalk.

GM’s vehicles all star in this summer’s action adventure, Transformers, opening July 3, 2007. These stars will be on display at the first-ever, six day festival celebrating the decade-long effort to bring life and excitement to the riverfront and downtown Detroit.

“We are thrilled to have four of GM’s most talked about vehicles from this summer’s action blockbuster on the river front,” said Dino Bernacchi, GM Marketing Alliances and Branded Entertainment. “River Days, being the largest Detroit festival, will give thousands the opportunity to experience these creative vehicles up close.”

The family-friendly event, which will feature activities and entertainment spanning from the new Gabriel Richard Plaza & Pavilion to the GM Plaza & Promenade and beyond, will be free to the public and will take advantage of the natural assets the Riverfront provides. Festival-goers will enjoy live musical entertainment on three stages, interactive games, exhibits, carnival elements and activities involving metro Detroit’s fishing and boating community, including the DTE Energy Parade of Lights on the Detroit River.
