X-Men: The Last Stand Box Office Update

The final figures for the four-day Memorial Day holiday weekend are in and X-Men: The Last Stand earned an incredible $122,861,157 domestically from 3,690 theaters. This easily beats the previous Memorial Day weekend record holder, “Shrek 2,” which earned $95,578,365 in four days in 2004.

“The Last Stand” also marks the fifth-biggest opening four days for a movie ever, trailing just “Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith” ($158,449,700), Spider-Man 2 ($130,456,123), “The Matrix Reloaded” ($129,282,716) and Spider-Man ($125,878,901).
