Cartoon Network has landed exclusive domestic TV rights to the new half-hour animated series based on Marvel Entertainment’s Fantastic Four, reports Variety.
A co-production of Marvel Studios and the French animation company Moonscoop, Fantastic Four will premiere as a weekly series on Cartoon in the fall. Cartoon has commissioned 26 episodes of the series, which is aimed at 6- to 11-year-olds.
Michael Helfant, president/chief operating officer of Marvel Studios, said Fantastic Four will run on Cartoon Network’s spinoff channels throughout the world.
Avi Avad is executive producer of the animated Fantastic Four for Marvel. The executive producers for Moonscoop are Christophe Di Sabatino, the company’s president, and senior VP Nicholas Atlan.
