Spider-Man Animated Series Up for an Annie

The Hollywood Reporter says that the MTV animated Spider-Man series is up for an Annie Award, from ASIFA-Hollywood, the International Animated Film Society.

Competing for the top prize in the animated television race are Renegade Animation’s “Captain Sturdy,” Nickelodeon’s “The Fairly OddParents,” Cartoon Network Studios’ “Samurai Jack,” Gracie Films’ “The Simpsons” and Adelaide Productions Inc.’s “Spider-Man Animated Series.”

Winners will be announced at the annual Annie Awards ceremony February 7 at the Alex Theatre in Glendale.
