Ryan Robbins on Starring in Smallville

‘snakie’ alerted us that Hollywood North Report talked to actor Ryan Robbins about starring as Louis Leery Jr. in Smallville episode “Exile”, airing on October 1.

Working with Michael was a gas… literally. Very flatulant guy. I think the outtake reel will be great. Actually, he’s awesome. He’s a very talented actor and I had a really great time working with him. Every so often, you have the opportunity to work with an actor who loves getting in there and getting dirty, no holding back. I love that. That’s how I like to work and I’m sure Michael does too. We definately work well off each other. Working on this episode of Smallville and playing the character of Louis Leery Jr. was a wonderful experience. Lex meets Louis on the island he’s stranded on. They seem to be perfect friends, but you know how it is, things are rarely what they seem. Greg Beeman directed (he is also exec. producer). He was fantastic. He clearly loves that show. The three of us had a lot of fun creating some great moments. Actors often say things like, “I really love this character” when referring to a role they’re playing. I actually feel like that about this guy. I’d love to play him again. I don’t know if they’re planning to bring him back but the storyline lends itself to the possibility. Maybe it’s up to the fans. I think the fans are going to love this episode. Actually the whole season looks set to be pretty awesome. I hope I get to be a part of it some more.
