What’s the Focus? Now if Gorilla City was a long shot, this one is certainly an impossibility. Besides the upcoming Sonic cartoon, and perhaps the Mario cartoons of the ’80s, there hasn’t been a TV series done set in the continuity of a video game world, especially not in live action. The Batman “Arkham” games are some of the most popular titles among fans of all time, and given that fans already accept it takes place in its own continuity, why not try and expand it in the form of a live-action series? Sure the production value would need to be high for fans to fully accept it, and it might be a little similar to FOX’s “Gotham” in its villain focus, but there are elements of the story we haven’t seen in the games. The transition from Arkham Asylum to Arkham City is a full season of its own, and not to mention once the inmates are inside and begin to take over their own territories. Plus they’ve already done an animated feature set in the world with this year’s Batman: Assault on Arkham.
