11 Characters Marvel Studios Should Consider for a Female-Led Movie

#10 BRUISER

Despite being the youngest member of The Runaways, a group of kids that learn their parents are actually super villains and thus turn into heroes, Molly Hayes is arguably the best character in the lot. Molly’s innocence and naivety make her often the comedic relief, and in keeping with the “big things in small packages” motif, she’s one of the most powerful members. Though she takes the sideline for the opening issues of the series, she has appeared in the most amount of issues out of all of the members of the team.

Molly is indestructible and super strong. Did I mention she’s only 11 too? Sure, those are generic powers, especially in the realm of the MCU, but powers aren’t what make the character. As long as they’re well written and interesting, the powers are irrelevant.

Marvel has been developing a script for The Runaways for a number of years, though it has reportedly been shelved following the success of The Avengers. Not only does bringing The Runaways to life on the big screen give Marvel the chance to tell the unique story of the series, but it provides them with a much needed array of point of views as The Runaways are made up of four females and just two males.

Our final choice is a fan favorite to appear on the big screen, and we couldn’t agree more. See who on page 11!
