The biggest film of the year, Marvel’s The Avengers is coming to Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday, September 25th and, in celebration of the special edition release, SuperHeroHype traveled to Industrial Light & Magic in San Francisco, CA to talk with some of the behind-the-scenes artists that brought Earth’s mightiest heroes to life.
Animation Director Marc Chu specialized in Iron Man’s suit, Visual Effects Supervisor Jeff White tackled Bruce Banner’s gamma-fueled alter-ego and Assoc. Visual Effects Supervisor Jason Smith helped build the Digital New York City integral to the film’s epic battle with Chitauri invaders.
