Spidey Turns 50: The 9 Weirdest Moments in Spider-Man History

5. HIS MOVIE DEBUT

In 1973, Spider-Man was just 11 years old and his journey to the big screen was still a ways off, but that didn’t stop a filmmaker in Turkey from putting him in cinemas anyway. A director named T. Fikret Ucak made a film called “3 Dev Adam” which translates to “3 Giant Men.” In the film, Captain America is sent to Istanbul, with his Mexican luchador partner Santo, to stop the evil crime boss… Spider-Man.

The Spider-Man in the film differs highly from the one in the comic, but there is no denying that he was intended to be the wall crawler we all know. All the blue sections of Spider-Man’s costume are all painted green instead, black leather gloves, belt, boots, and poorly drawn spider symbols on his chest and back. But enough from us about the movie, take a look for  yourself.

Oh yeah, there’s also this scene where he tortures a guy with guinea pigs.
