Spidey Turns 50: The 9 Weirdest Moments in Spider-Man History

If you weren’t around for the television series The Electric Company, then this is going to be totally new to you, but one recurring sketch on the show was titled “The Spidey Super Stories.” All these skits featured Spider-Man, who never talked but only communicated through speech bubbles, and he also never was seen as Peter Parker. Now, while I’m sure there are just as many of these that are bizarre, this one really does take the cake as you will see below.
It shouldn’t require explanation why this is such a weird video, but if I must. First, why is the Yeti in New York City and why is he stealing people’s ice cream by sitting on it? Second, if you haven’t seen any of the other Electric Company Spider-Man skits, the way he communicates and shoots his webs will certainly seem corny to you. Finally, THAT’S MORGAN FREEMAN!
