Spidey Turns 50: 11 Villains Who Could Be in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Who is he?
A Russian big game hunter that is always striving to prove that he’s the greatest hunter in the world. Originally, he felt that besting Spider-Man would make him the best hunter. As stated earlier, he is the half-brother of the Chameleon, which could be a cool combination of villains in a later entry. Kraven is probably most well known for ‘defeating Spider-Man’ and committing suicide for not having any goals left to achieve in the world. That’s not the kind of character arc I would advise for this movie,  nor would I advise having him team up with Spider-Man to take down a foe (like he did in the comics with the Vermin).
How could he work in the movie?
After the first movie, it only makes sense that New York would have gained a reputation for housing both giant lizards and spider people. This is the kind of place that a megalomaniac like Kraven can’t ignore for very long. While he doesn’t need to be as ‘On the Nose’ as he’s portrayed in the earlier comics. There’s plenty of opportunity for crazy hunting gear and action with Kraven running around, even a cameo from the Lizard maybe.
Who should play him?
This was easy, Jeffrey Dean Morgan. While I’ve never heard him do a Russian accent, he is the spitting image of the character from the comics. Plus after his work in “Watchmen,” we know that he’s capable of lots of physical work and playing a dark character, plus he’s got comic book cred for playing the Comedian.
