Cyclops character sucked in all the films and they put Phoenix in too early!! First class if done right this time can be really great. i still feel Bringing Bishop in to correct the shitty film Bryan Singer ruined, but redo is the only way to correct this and if starting at the beggining is how it will be done then it has a shot ONLY if it follows the comic books that means no Wolverine, Rogue. Only the original X-men. Marvel Girl (Jean Grey) Cyclops, Beast, Iceman (not ice boy) Angel (later becomes arch angel. with this group it just might revitalize the franchise unless they want to go off of the uncanny series that built fans that are still living but that will be alot harder to run with since it would be jumping right through alot and not explain anything. I would hope that the movie writers or director will take some advice from the many fans as sort of a guide for the film's production. I'm hoping maybe they would introduce a new character, possibly a relative of Storm, for example say a nephew. I know that in the comics really centered around Ororo Munroe's lineage but it's just a cool idea that I just needed to express, because she hails from a long line of African priests, all of whom had white hair and blue eyes. Maybe a long lost descendant perhaps, with the same abilities, sorta like inheriting the same genes, the mutant X gene of the same bloodline. So many things can go wrong here. The "X-Men Trilogy" was to me a disaster. They shied away from the comics way to much. Dont get me wrong, I liked the movies, but they could have been a 1000 times better. The story I thought was lame, especially in the first one. Angel and Beast were part of the originals, and they didnt even appear til "The Last Stand". Rogue wasnt a 'scared little girl' when she became an X-Man either, at least not from what I recall. This "First Class" movie, if it goes at all along the lines of the trilogy, will not be up to standards. At least Fox's movies are usually PG-13 and use adult content. The fact of the matter is that comicbook teams have a hard time translating to the big screen period. There is just not enuff time to dip into every characters personality and motivations so all the ppl who don't read comics have a hard time relating(and even comic book fans since most of the time they change the characters for movie purposes). The best way is what Marvel is doing with the Avengers. By the time that movie comes out the audience will be familar with Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and Hulk(which since I doubt more than one or 2 X-Men could hold their own movie it won't happen). For all intent and purposes X-Men and X2 were good movies the problem was they switched directors for the Last Stand. You've gotta have consistency in sequels or 9 times outta 10 it doesn't work. If this First Class movie was unconnected to the recent X-Men movies i'd be all for it but if it is connnected they obviously can't use Iceman or Angel so it would be stupid to even think bout doin it. I personally think outta all the Marvel properties that X-Men would make the best TV show. A TV show allows you to develop your characters and let them grow along with allowing you to use multiple star roles. Either way for me to back a First Class X-Men movie it'd hafta be new continuty and ugh ACTUALLY have the First class of X-Men(Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman, and Angel for those of you living under a rock or in Hollywood). Also does it sound like this kids story is bogus to anyone else? It must have been a Tweeter account he'd used before or no one would have believed it to start with right? Out of all the Comic book or graphic novel/video game movies, Fox only got one right which was X-Men 2. Fox should have hired the makers of "Crouching Tiger,Hidden Dragon" to make the Chun Li movie and they should have hired the makers of "Shoalin Soccer" and "Kung Fu Hustle" to make "Dragon Ball". Some studios are better at doing certain things than others and Fox needs to understand that and stop being so f*&king greedy trying to do it all themselves. Marvel needs to get with Disney and create a plan to take back the character rights from Fox through showing Fox's inconsistency to make quality films based on characters that Marvel and others have made. Marvel/Disney need to take Fox's greedy asses to court and get their sh@t back!!! Fox has proven that they don't know what the hell they're doing and are just concerned only with money and not true quality film making nor staying true to and respecting the source material.
