Awesome choice I think,

@Ryan Reynolds for GL, I think he is going to do good as Hal Jordan! For those that DID NOT READ the Deadpool Comics, he played an excellent hero --> Vill transfer, which will be perfect for Hal Jordan who HAS TO go bad eventually if I remember right? - Code-Red

This is definitely a photo of Keira Knightley, NOT Natalie Portman. Why is it up there? And two pages of posts and only ONE person mentions it?

Are you joking? It is Natalie Portman. Trust me. I know. It's a very model-ly pic of her but it is her. I know that Natalie and KK look alike they always have(KK played the decoy queen in the Phantom Menace and relatives on actually though she was natalie). But KK has a thinner face. Natalie actually eats food once in a while.

BTw, I'm glad she is being pleasantly recieved. I think she will be a welcome addition to the Marvel family. When is Ewan MacGregor going to be tapped for a Marvel/DC or any other comic book. Seems he is due for one- haven't seen him in a while(except for Angels and Demons). - HotOilFacial

He does change into his human form to work at the hospital, and he sees his work as a doctor as important as his work as Thor.

This movie has a lot more promise than I thought it would have. Kenneth Branagh directing!!?!
Wow. He can bring just the right feel and touch to this. Jack Kirby would be happy.
Natalie Portman will be a huge addition to this movie. It's a shame they can't get Spielberg for Captain America. - The Inkslinger

One more point: if Donald Blake was a real person, then how evil would Odin have been to consign him to the void for all eternity, only allowing an escape when all the gods died? How evil would Thor have to be, to allow the same thing to happen to all the other people that held the gods' spirits? How angry would Don Blake have been when he was released if he were real? He wasn't at all. Those are many reasons why I believe that Donald Blake was only a creation, and the people who became gods reborn were never real either (aside from the lady who housed Sif). - Jeremy

Thor could be a colossal success or a colossal failure(although I`m more inclined to hope that the movie will be more of the former instead of the latter). We just don`t know what the future holds. But I`ll tell you what I am sure of,with Kenneth Branagh at the helm of Thor,Chris Hemsworth as Thor the Norse God Of Thunder,Tom Hiddleston as the deciever Loki the Norse God of Lies and Mischief,Brian Blessed as the All-Father Odin and now Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, this movie has credibility.Which is something it never would`ve had if some arrogant steriod-addled chest-thumping Neanderthal from the WWE was cast as Thor.

With the metoric success of their films, Marvel has proven that that they`re serious about their properties by choosing acclaimed directors and talented and respected actors.Marvel`s not just living in the glory days, they`re marching into a bright future! - JROBERT

Not to end up in the fawning high-praise territory of ''Inside The Actors Studio With James Lipton'' but let me just say that I think Natalie Portman is one of the greatest actors of her generation. Also,I believe that in the years to come we`ll see her join the ranks of the all-time acting greats. In my mind,Natalie Portman is a great example to young women. The Harvard-educated Portman is classy and sexy-without being slutty. We never hear about her having run-ins with the law and see her wearing the latest in ankle braclet technology or see pictures of her drunkenly staggering out of bars.We never see Portman snorting coke in dingy clubs and she`s not more famous for her personal life than she is for her career(because that`s when a actor`s career goes away)and we never see Portman on SuperMarket Tabloids with no underwear on.

Portman is one of those people who knows that`s it`s cool to be smart and on the straight and narrow and I`m sure she`ll make a fine Jane Foster in Thor. Naysayers and even some comic book fans have looked down their nose on the notion of a Thor movie.I`m certain that some of the uniniated probably thought (and probably still do)that Kenneth Branagh and Marvel had gone around the bend when the news of Kenneth Branagh being chosen to direct Marvel`s live-action Thor movie was made public. - JROBERT

Omar: They've been so back and forth on the existence of Donald Blake as a person I've lost track. It's been canon both ways before, and it's very confusing. I know that Donald Blake woke Thor from the void, and I remember Jake Olsen. I think Thor must have cast some spell before the final Ragnarok that would allow for rebirth, and that's why Blake is now back. The whole angle of the rebirth has been quite confusing in the new run, as it's only in the most recent comic that they showed a goddess, Sif, trapped inside an actual human. However, she was the only one who was separated from a human. Everyone else became their godly counterparts. Remember the underground cell, with the trapped Asgardians and others? When they were transformed, there were no humans there wanting to know what happened. They all became Asgardians again (if I recall correctly. Correct me if I'm wrong). Loki even said the only reason he was in Sif's form was because he was nothing more than a head when the final Ragnarok took place. He basically booted her out of her own body, and it showed that he knew exactly where she was, indicating that it was his spell that put her there to begin with. Back to the original point: if Don Blake was an original person, then why did he not appear again until Thor disappeared? Why is he bound to Thor when no other Asgardian is bound to a human? If the other Asgardians became separated from humans, then why would Thor bind himself, effectively weakening him and messing up his ability to run his kingdom? For that matter, why would Donald Blake want to be bound to Thor, keeping him from saving people's lives as a doctor? They don't seem to be writing Don Blake as being anything more than a vessel for Thor. Even Blake himself seemed surprised when he was able to exist when Thor was in Odinsleep (or Thorsleep, as it might be called now). My point in all this is, Thor had the power to separate them if they were two separate beings, and he didn't. That seems to me to show the truth. - Jeremy

@Jeremy:
Actually it was originally thought that Donald Blake was a creation of Odin but now the official canon is that Donald Blake was his own person.

Thor did not cast a spell but was rather woken up by Donald Blake from the void he was in by visions of what would happen on earth if Thor did not come back.

The last human form that Thor co-habitated with was Jake Olson the EMT right before Odin died battling Sutur and Ragnarok.

The character of Donald Blake had not been seen in quite a bit in the comics.

The rest of the asgardians were not in human forms but rather living inside pre-existing people on Earth. Remember Donald Blake told Thor it was not for the Gods to decide when to live and die but mortals. - Omar
