This movie will not suck. Just listen. There's a interview with Ray Stevenson floating around where he talks about what the basis was for this movie, which was the Punisher MAX series (written by Preacher author Garth Ennis). This is by far the best Punisher series to date. Frank Castle isn't as 2 dimensional as he once was due to this series. It's violent of course, but there's also the inner struggle of being Frank Castle. A much more gritty and visceral look into his mind. Have faith. - Flynn

I like that idea, and it makes sense within this movie "universe" that marvel is building. Opening the door for future crossovers. If they can keep the momentum going, I wonder if they can bring it to a head with a civil war movie. - dumbgreek

I read one of your comments earlier mentioning the "blue serum" seen in the trailer and in both Marvel films this summer.

Here's my theory on it:
It's the same 'super-soldier' serum, and by movie's end, somehow Barracuda (from the MAX series) will be the recipient of the serum... setting up (HOPEFULLY) for a sequel!

Considering how strong Barracuda is/was in the MAX series, him being a 'super-soldier' doesn't seem far-fetched to me at all.

Comments anyone?? - katmore9

I got you.

You know, you should look up this one Comic book called The Punisher/Batman: Deadly Knights. It's a crossover between Marvel and DC that was made about 15 years ago. It really puts into perspective the comparasins and contradictions with the two Charectors.

It also features an unforgetable scene where the Punisher has the Joker at gunpoint, and...

Well, I won't ruin it. Check it out if you ever get the chance. - J.Orge: Dat Merc Wit Da Mouth

Yeah, I know what you mean, and I agree with you, but for some reason I just always felt more of a likeness between Punisher and Batman, I guess it makes more sense in my head, lol. Now Moon Knight, he is a great character all his own, with or without the parallels to Batman. I was just worried that the Batman fanboys would try to chime in and start a flame war, thats all, like I said, just my opinion. - dumbgreek

I'm not gonna War with ya dude. I actually never really thought of it in that context, but it makes sence. And yes, it WAS Vietnam where the Punisher did two tours of duty.

Frank was already used to killing for the good of mankind, WAY before his family was killed. Bruce Wayne was only an innocent child, who had his eyes abruntly opened to the Evil in the world.

And Bruce Wayne still always had Alfred to guide him through life to make the best decisions possible. Frank had no one at all to turn to.

The charectors are alike only in being human, using fear as a weapon, and stratigic planning before fighting. But that's where the simularaties end.

If anyone in the Marvel Universe is a Poor Mans Batman, then it's Moon Knight, Not The Punisher. (It should also be noted that I AM also a Moon Knight fan, and collect his series.) - J.Orge: Dat Merc Wit Da Mouth

You know, I can't understand why people keep saying that Batman and Punisher aren't alike, they are the most alike and yet different characters in either publishers' line-ups. The only thing that kept Bruce Wayne from becoming more like the Punisher, is that fact that he didn't have any prior military experience, so he never had killed before, never had to adjust to the sight of it. Whereas the Punisher was trained and sent to Vietnam (I can't remember if it was vietnam or somewhere else, but it was in the BORN arc from punisher). It was there that he made his peace with killing. That, to me anyway, is the only true difference between what made those two who and what they are today. I know I'm gonna catch a lot of shit for what I just said but please, that is just one guys opinion, please don't start any flame wars over this. - dumbgreek

This is a bad idea for the artist. Yeah, you may get exposure, but you can do that on youtube or Myspace for free. $5,000 sounds like a real small amount of money compared to what the sales of the CD can do. Before I would send them anything I would check into the publishing and creator rights. - Tyrone

I'm not so sure about sending in music, up until now we have no word who is doing the main soundtrack, why can't they hire John Powell of Bourne Identity fame or Hans Zimmer.

Surely they cannot be that cheap, can anyone cinfirm that Lexi has been pulled of her own movie?

Group should be possibly: The Police, Bon Jovi, Xecutioners, Rolling Stones, The Who, Depeche Mode good old skool and a new new school groups.

I have that book! THe exact issue number doesn't come to mind, but I know I have it.

Ya see, Kraven is exactly who I believe they should use in the next Spidey movie. Center the story around "Kravens Last Hunt", one of the Best Spidey stories ever made. At the end, hint towards Dr. Conners going through the changes into the Lizard. And then make a Two part movie for part 4 and 5 (like the Matrix did) to finish off the second Spidey Trilogy that brings together the Sinestor Six. Bring back Doc Oct to lead them (since it's never confirmed that he was dead anyway) Bring back Sandman, Introduce the Lizard, Electro, Mysterio, and the Vulture.

Ah, but I am seriously Going off into a Whole Off subject Geek Dream. Back to Punisher.

Upon watching the 1st trailer again, I noticed something strange. The Blue vials of whatever it is in the Canisters that the Mobsters open up, look strangely simular to the Blue Vial of Serum fom the Increduble Hulk film that helps turn this guy into the Abomination. Could just be a Coiencidence. Could be that they are going to attempt to "Subtually" hint towards a Connection. Even though this film takes place in a Compleately different Universe. The MAX universe... - J.Orge: Dat Merc Wit Da Mouth

Yeah, Jorge. It's a shame Mrvel scattered it's liscenses all over the place. I would have loved to see Punisher in a Spiderman movie, possibly tracking Kraven. I remember reading an old punisher book where there was like a five page section just showing different ways he would break bones. - shell shocked

Yeah I have to agree. I am a Die Hard Punisher Fan. And as much as I TRY to defend the T. Jane film, it was just an all around awfull attempt to bring the Punisher to life.

I liked the nods to the Comics that only Die Hard fans would catch. Like the Hanging upside down Interrogation scene, taken straight out of The 1st issue of the old '90s Warzone Comic. And Almost the entire ending was word for word out of the "Year One" story. But these moments where too few and to far inbetween. All in all, everything from the casting to the delivery, was subpar.

I am REALLY hoping this film makes up for it and puts the Punisher back on top where he belongs. - J.Orge: Dat Merc Wit Da Mouth
